Fire up your business with wireless Internet access

Increase your revenue by providing your customers with simple and affordable Internet access.

In the time it takes you to make a Flat White, your customers could be flat out surfing the Internet or accessing their email. You can make it possible with a NetComm Wireless Hotspot.

What is a wireless hotspot?

The HS800 Wireless Gateway creates an instant wireless HotSpot providing Internet connection for up to 100 users at a time from a single location.

At the heart of the service is a one-box solution that includes an 11b wireless router, 4-port switch and service gateway. It takes up about as much space as a standard telephone.

How will a hotspot benefit my business?

You can create an additional revenue source for very little cost, selling casual Internet access to customers who use a wireless Notebook or handheld PDA.

Even better, you don’t need any special training or

IT skills to manage a NetComm Wireless Hotspot.

Like all great ideas, it’s simple to understand and easy to manage.

Is the system easy to use?

The NetComm Wireless Hotspot takes advantage of IP Plug and Play technology, which instantly recognises a new user and all TCP/IP configurations, therefore user IP addresses are setup automatically.

Which means your customers do not need to adjust the settings or alter the configuration of their wireless Notebook or handheld PDA.

How does a hotspot work?

NetComm Wireless Hotspot comes with a built-in accounting and billing system that allows you to sell wireless Internet access in blocks of minutes, hours or days. You set the rate, you sell the time and you collect the cash.

Paid access time, billing and other user information are recorded on a receipt, printed from a simple three-button printer.

This smart piece of equipment has been designed to ensure fast and efficient processing of sales. You don’t have to worry about calculating costs, just punch the buttons for the required amount of access time and out pops the receipt.

How secure is a hotspot?

The NetComm Wireless Hotspot uses in-built

Layer 2 security, which prevents a user from accessing another users data traffic. Built-in SSL login provides safe and secure authentication protection at all times.

What’s more, VPN pass through allows your customers to securely connect to their own office network.

How easy is it to connect?

When a customer purchases access privileges over the counter they receive a tax invoice, which includes their unique user name and password. To connect, a customer simply opens a web browser on their wireless

Notebook or handheld PDA and enters their user name and password. It’s that simple.
