If you want to use this product correctly, carefully read this user's manual and store it
for future reference.
General safety instructions
* Read this user's manual. Keep the user's manual in a safe place for future
reference. If you give this device to a third party, hand over the user's manual
together with the device.
* Follow the instructions contained in this user's manual.
* Heed all warnings.
* Adhere to all instructions.
» Use only accessories determined by the manufacturer.
* An open flame must not be placed on the device, e.g. burning candle.
* Use the device in a temperate climate zone.
* Neither the manufacturer nor the seller of the device under no condition takes
responsibility for any direct or indirect damages caused by not adhering to
instructions for installation, set-up, use, service or cleaning of this device as
described in this user's manual.
* Protect the device against being knocked, dropped, hit, shaken and against
vibrations, humidity and dust.
* Before allowing children to use the device, they must be appropriately to their age,
informed about the correct and safe use of the player.
Installation, operation
Install the device according to the instructions in the user's manual.
* Leave free space on all sides of the device, necessary for proper air circulation.
This removes the heat created during operation. Covering the device housing
creates the risk of overheating or damage to the device. It is necessary to ensure
that the ventilation openings are not blocked, e.g. by a newspaper, table cloth,
curtain, etc. Follow the installation instructions in the user's manual. If proper
device ventilation is not maintained, its surface may be hot!

* Using the device for a long time may cause it to become very hot. We recommend
providing sufficient space for heat exhaust, a least 10 cm from the top and from
the sides of the device. Do not touch hot parts of the device just after switching it
off if it has been on for a long time.
* Do not install the device in direct sunlight or near sources of heat, such as heaters,
heat exchangers, stoves or other appliances (including amplifiers) producing heat.
High temperatures significantly reduce the lifetime of electronic components in the
device. Do not use or leave the device in the vicinity of an open fire.
* The device must not be exposed to dripping or running water and objects filled
with water must not be placed on it, e.g. vases. Protect the device against rain,
spray or contact with any other liquid, do not leave or install the device outdoors.
Do not use the device outdoors. Not adhering to these instructions creates a risk
of electrical shock or fire hazard.
Important safety instructions
Do not use this device near water.
Do not try to circumvent the polarised power plug safety feature. If the power
plug cannot be inserted into your power socket, contact a qualified electrician to
replace the old type of power socket.
Before connecting the device into a power socket, check that the voltage in your
power socket corresponds to the voltage on the rating label of the device or on its
power adapter.
Make sure that the power cord is not stepped on or compressed, particularly near
the power plug, power socket and at the point where it exits the device or the
adapter. The power plug (adapter) is used as a disconnection device and must be
easily accessible.
Remember to always disconnect the power plug (adapter) from the power socket
before disconnecting the power cable from the back side of the device.
Disconnect the device from the power socket during storms or if you will not be
using it for a longer time.
Avoid moving the device from a cold environment to a warm one or vice versa, or
when using the device in a very humid environment. Air humidity may condense
on some components inside the case of the device and the device may stop
working temporarily. If this occurs leave the device in a warm and well ventilated
place and wait 1 — 2 hours until the moisture evaporates and the device can once
more be used as usual. Take care especially during the first use of the player
immediately after its purchase during a cold season.
Repairs and maintenance
To prevent risk of injury through electric shock or the creation of a fire, do not
take the device out of the case - there are no parts inside the case repairable or
adjustable by the user without relevant equipment and qualifications. Should the
device require adjustment or repair, contact a professional service centre.
In the case of any unusual events occurring during the use of the device, ex. if
there is a distinct smell of burning insulation or smoke comes out of the device,
immediately turn off the device, disconnect the device from the power source and
do not use the device until you have received the results of an inspection by the
employees of the professional service centre.
Have all repairs carried out by qualified personnel. Repairs are necessary if the device
has been damaged in any way, for example if the power cord is damaged, liquid was
poured on the device, foreign objects have entered the device, the device has been
exposed to rain or moisture, if the device is not working as usual or if it has fallen.
Clean the device only with a dry cloth.

Do not expose the remote control or the batteries to direct sunlight or sources of heat,
such as heaters, heat exchangers, stoves or other appliances (including amplifiers)
producing heat. Do not use or leave the device in the vicinity of an open fire.
Neither the remote control nor the batteries may be exposed to dripping or running
water and objects filled with water must not be placed on them, e.g. vases. Protect
against exposure to rain, spraying or pouring of any kind of liquid. Do not use
outdoors. Not following these instructions creates a danger of damage to the
remote control or the battery.

— Do not leave discharged batteries in the remote control.
— Do not combine various types of batteries or new and old batteries.
— If you will not be using the remote control for a long period of time, remove the
batteries to prevent potential damage caused by a subsequent battery leakage.
— If the remote control is not working correctly or its operational range is reduced,
change all batteries for new ones.
— If electrolyte leaks out from the batteries, have the remote control cleaned by
an authorised service centre.
Attention: To prevent a fire hazard or injury by electrical shock, do not expose this
device to rain or humidity.

Notes on the USB connector:
USB flash drives must be inserted into the device directly. To prevent data
transmission failure or its interference do not use USB extension cables. Electrostatic
discharges may cause the device to malfunction. In such an event the user must
restart the device.
Before using a USB flash drive test its ability to communicate with the device and its
data reading and writing speed.
To achieve maximum reading speed we recommend that you keep disc space
defragmented. Use the FAT32 file system, a single partition, without protection. If
reading and writing on the USB flash disk is not continuous, undesirable effects may
occur such as partial image loss (distortions/checkering effects) or complete image
loss, audio defects, and in extreme cases the operation will be stopped. Unexpected
behaviour of the connected flash drive, or the presence of viruses or other damaging
software may cause the functions of the device to stop working, necessitating a restart.
The USB connector is the standard type and is not able to power a USB device
with a high power usage (e.g. hard disk drives HDD). Use devices with independent
power supplies and power them from their own power supplies.
The device was designed to achieve maximum compatibility with flash drives.
With respect to the variety of devices on the market it is not possible to guarantee
compatibility with every USB device. In the event of difficulties try formatting the flash
drive directly in the appliance. If problems persist, use a different flash drive.

2. Remote control
Using the remote control
To control the device using the remote control point the remote control at the
device and then press the button with the required function. The effective range
of the remote control is up to about 5 meters with a maximum deviation of +/- 30°
from the perpendicular direction to the reception sensor of the remote control on
the front side of the device. The falling capacity of the batteries gradually reduces
the remote control range.
There must be no solid obstacles in the area between the remote control and the
device when the remote control is being used. During standard use the lifetime
of batteries in the remote control is about 1 year. When the effective range of the
remote control is substantially reduced or when there are problems with its use,
change both the batteries in the remote control.
If you will not be using the remote control for a longer period of time, take out both
batteries - in this way you will prevent potential damage caused by their leakage.
Replacing the batteries in the remote control
Two AAA batteries are used to power the remote control.
To replace it proceed according to the follow the instructions:

If you connect an external device to the receiver such as a TV, VCR or amplifier,
carefully read the user's manual of such a device before connecting. Prior to
connecting make sure that all devices are unplugged from power sockets.

4. First installation
After correct connection of the device, turn on the television and then the receiver.
If you have turned on the device for the first time or you have reset to the factory
settings, the first installation will appear.

2. Select Country and choose the country using the 4/P buttons.
3. Select Channel Search and using the > or OK button, choose automatic channel
search.
4. After the channel search is complete, you will be able to watch television.
Basic controls
4.1 Program Manage Setting
Press the MENU button to enter the menu and select Program.
In the menu you may set the program manager. Make a selection and press the OK
button or > button. Press the EXIT button to leave the menu.

4.2 Program Edit
Using this menu, you can edit the selected channel (lock, skip, favourites list, move
or delete). You will be asked to enter a password to edit in this menu. The factory-set
password is "000000".
4.2.1 Set Favourite Program
You can create a list of favourite programs for easy access to programs. Follow these
steps to include a TV program/radio station into a favourites list:

1. Select the program that you want to add to a list and press the FAVOURITE
button. You may choose from the following lists: Movies, News, Sport and Music.
The star symbol at the given program displays and the program will now be added
to this favourites list.
2. Repeat this step to add more programs.
3. To confirm selection and exit the menu, press the EXIT button.
To remove the program from a favourites list, choose in the menu in step 1: Block
(adding to favourites).
4.2.2 View Favourite Program
1. Press the FAVOURITE button, and the favourites menu will appear. Press the
<U) buttons to switch between the lists Movies, News, Sport and Music.
2. Press the A/V buttons to select the favourite program.
3. Press OK to display the favourite program on the screen.
4.2.3 Delete a TV or Radio Program
1. Select the program that you want to delete and press the BLUE button. A dialogue
window will pop up. Press the OK button to delete the program.
2. If you want to erase another program or station, proceed as described above.
4.2.4 Skip a TV or Radio Program
1. Select the program that you want to skip and press the GREEN button. The skip
symbol displays. The program will be designated for skipping.
2. If you want to skip another program or station, proceed as described above.
3. To confirm selection and exit the menu, press the EXIT button. To remove the skip
symbol, select the program indicated by the symbol and press the GREEN button.
4.2.5 Move a TV or Radio Program
1. Select the program that you want to move and press the RED button. The skip
symbol is displayed.

. Press the OK button to confirm.
4. To move further programs, proceed as described above.

4.2.6 Lock Program
Using this function, you will be able to lock the selected program to prevent anyone
from viewing the program.
1. Select the program that you want to lock and press the YELLOW button. The lock
symbol is displayed. The program will now be indicated as locked.
2. If you want to lock another program or station, proceed as described above.
3. To confirm selection and exit the menu, press the EXIT button.
4. If you want to remove the lock, select the locked program and press the YELLOW
button.
5. If you want to watch a locked program, you will be asked to enter a password. The
factory-set password is "000000".
4.3 EPG (Electronic Program Guide)
EPG is an electronic program guide that displays on the screen showing the planned
shows on selected channels up to 7 days in advance.
Press the EPG button on the remote control to enter the guide. A screen pops up
containing: indication of currently selected channel (change using arrows </b>),
the date and time, a list of programs on the selected channel with one program
highlighted (change using arrows A/V) and extended description of the highlighted
program.

If the description contains more than one page of information, press the BLUE button
to display the following pages, press the YELLOW button to display the previous

Note:
The device displays EPG information as it receives it from the transmission. The
transmission of all information from a given multiplex (set of several programs on
a given channel) may take up to several minutes.
The broadcaster of the given program is responsible for the content, accuracy and
up-to-date status of the information on the EPG system. Time information (current
time and daylight savings time) and its accuracy is provided for by the operator of the
given multiplex.

4.4 Sort
You can sort channels using this function as follows:
1. LCN — based on the logical channel number system from the transmission
2. ONID — based on tuning order
3. Name of service —based on name of channel
4. ID services —based on station
4.5 LCN (Logical Channel Numbers)

4.6 Video Setting
To enter the menu press the MENU button and then select Picture. You can set the
picture using this menu. Using the A/V buttons, select an option and set the value
by pressing the </P buttons. Press the EXIT button to leave the menu.

4.6.1 Aspect Ratio
You must set the correct aspect ratio as follows: 16:9 PillarBox, 16:9 Pan&Scan, 4:3
PanScan, 4:3 Letter Box, 4:3 Full, 16:9 Widescreen or Auto.
4.6.2 Resolution
If the screen is not displaying properly, you may have to change the resolution. This
option is only available in HDMI mode.

4.6.3 TV Format
If the screen is not displaying properly, you may have to change the format. You must
select the format used in your country.
NTSC: for NTSC TV system
PAL: for PAL TV system (recommended for Europe)
4.7 Channel Search
Press the MENU button to display the main menu, and here select the item Search
Channel for setting the channel search method.
Press the </ button in order to set.
Press the EXIT button to leave the menu.

4.7.1 Auto Search
To select and install all channels automatically If you run this function, all of your
searched programs searched thus far will be overwritten.
1. Select the item Auto Search and press the OK button or » button to run the
search
2. To cancel the auto search, press the EXIT button.
4.7.2 Manual Search
Used for searching for new channels manually. Using this function, you may add new
programs without changing the current channels list.
1. Select Manual Search and press the OK button or № button. The channel search
menu will pop up.

2. Using the </P buttons, select the transmitting channel; the frequency will be
displayed below. Band width is selected automatically depending on the band
(VHF/UHF).
3. If on the given channel there is a DVB-T digital transmission, the device will start
decoding and after a while it will display its quality (Quality in the red band is
insufficient, in the violet band it is temporary, in the blue band it is satisfactory). If
the signal quality is sufficient, press the OK button to start the search. The device
will search for the set of programs on this channel (digital multiplex).
Once the channel is discovered, it is stored and added to the channels list. If the
channel cannot be found, the system leaves the menu.
4.7.3 Country
Select the applicable country.
4.7.4 Antenna Power
Enables power to the antenna if an active antenna is connected.
4.8 Time Setting
Press the MENU button to display the main menu, and here select the item Time for
setting the time.
Using the A/V buttons, select an option and set the value by pressing the </» buttons.
Press the EXIT button to leave the menu.

4.8.1 Time Offset
Select automatic or manual settings of the time offset from GMT. Select manual
setting if the operator does not give the accurate time data in its broadcasting (ex.
time zone or switching to daylight savings time).
4.8.2 Country Region
Select the country region if the time offset function is set to Auto.
4.8.3 Time Zone
Select the time zone if the time offset function is set to Manual.

Note:
Correct time setting along with receipt of time information from the broadcaster or
operator is important for both displaying time data and for planning recording or
watching programs. Pay careful attention to setting the time.
4.8.4 Auto Standby
If this function is set to "Off", it will be active. If this function is set to "On", a message
displays after three hours of inactivity that the device will be switching to standby
mode. Press the STANDBY button O for leaving the sleep/automatic standby mode.
4.9 Options
Press the MENU button to display the main menu, and here select the item Option.
This menu lets you set the OSD language, subtitles language and audio language.
Make a selection and set the value by pressing the </P buttons.
Press the EXIT button to leave the menu.

4.9.1 OSD Language
Select the OSD language.
4.9.2 Subtitle Language
Select the preferred subtitle language.
4.9.3 Audio Language
Select the preferred audio language for the TV channel. If the language is not
available, the priority language will be set.
4.9.4 Digital Audio
Select the digital audio output mode.

Press the MENU button to display the main menu, and here select the item System.
This menu enables you to set the system.
Using the A/V buttons, select an option and set the value by pressing the </» buttons.

4.10.1 Parental Guidance
You may limit access to channels that are not suited to children and youth. To lock

4.10.2 Set Password
Here you may set or change your password. First enter your old password or factory-
set password "000000". Then enter a new password and enter it once again to confirm.
After confirming the new password, press the EXIT button to leave the menu.
Note:
If you change the factory password 000000 and forget your user password, enter
instead the service code 888888 and create a new password.
4.10.3 Restore Factory Default
This function serves to restore the device factory default settings. In the man menu,
select the option Restore Factory Default and press the OK button or > to confirm. Enter
the valid password (factory-set password "000000" or your selected password). This
function restores the original factory settings, and all current settings will be deleted.

If the manufacturer releases new software for the device, it may be loaded onto the

4. First installation
Note:
Updating the device software is a serious action. Make sure you have at your
disposal an undamaged file/data source based on manufacturer information. Proceed
precisely according to the instructions to the given software file. Not respecting the
instructions or an incorrectly performed update may cause irreparable damage to the
device that is not covered by warranty.

Insert a USB memory device into the USB slot.
Press the MENU button and using the </P buttons select USB.
In the USB menu, you will be able to play back music, images and multimedia files
stored on the USB memory device. USB supports the formats: AVI (DivX 4 and 5,
XviD), MPG (MPEG1 a 2), MP3, WMA, JPEG and BMP.
The device supports USB devices with the file systems FAT32 and NTFS.
4.11.1 Multimedia
After connecting the USB device, select from the main menu using the 4/ buttons
USB Music, Photo or Movie and confirm by pressing OK. If the USB device is not
connected, the message "No USB device is found" is displayed.

4.11.2 Setting photographs
Slide Time: for setting the period of displaying images (in a slide show) in a range of
1 to 8 seconds.
Slide Mode: after setting the image rollover effect (slide show) in modes from 0 — 59
or randomly.
Aspect Ratio:
Keep: displaying image in original aspect ratio.
Discard: display full screen image.
4.11.3 Movie settings
During movie playback with subtitles in an external file (with same name as the move
and extension SRT, SUB, TXT) its parameters may be selected.
Size of subtitles
- normal: the subtitle letter size will be normal
- large: the subtitle letter size will be large
- even bigger: the subtitle letter size will be bigger
Subtitle background
- white: subtitles displayed on white background
- transparent: subtitles displayed on transparent background
- grey: subtitles displayed on grey background
- yellow-green: subtitles displayed on yellow-green background
Colour of subtitles
- red: subtitles displayed in red letters
- blue: subtitles displayed in blue letters
- green: subtitles displayed in green letters
- white: subtitles displayed in white letters
- black subtitles displayed in black letters
Note:
There are a large number of ways to compress images and audio and many various
codec parameter settings. It may occur for certain codecs that playback of video,
audio or both tracks will not be possible
4.11.4 PVR
Recording: Select a disk for recording
Format: Format the selected disk to a FAT32 or NTFS format. Formatting the disk
must be confirmed by pressing OK twice, because formatting causes all data to be
permanently erased from the disk.
