GANZ Security Solutions MAM e INSTALLATION MANUAL - WML-1 Dome Camera Wall Mount Unpacking Unpack carefully. This is mechanical equipment and should be handled with care. If an item appears to have been damaged in shipment, replace it properly in its carton and notify the shipper. If any items are missing, notify CBC America Inc. (CBC). The shipping carton is the safest container in which the unit may be transported. Save it for possible future use. Service If the unit ever needs repair service, the customer should contact CBC for a return materials authorization (RMA) and shipping instructions. Care and Maintenance Perform routine maintenance to keep the unit dust free. Model Designation WML-1 Wall Mount for Dome Cameras Description The wall mount is used to attach the camera to a wall. The kit contains an optional gasket for reducing water ingress into the mount through the cable hole. When installed outdoors, this mount should only be used with outdoor rated dome cameras. Hardware Kit 4 x Wall Anchor Bolts 4 x Wall Anchors 2 x M4 x 12mm Phillips Screws 2 x M4 Washer 2 X M4 Nut 1 x Gasket Tools Required e #2 Phillips Head Screwdriver e #3 Phillips Head Screwdriver e Appropriate drill for wall anchors e 7mm or 8/32 Wrench or Nut Driver Certification Camera installations should be performed by a licensed professional and conform to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. Installation 1. Remove the WML-1 from its packaging. 2. Remove the mount plate by loosening the four screws shown in Figure 1. Figure 1 - WML-1 Mount Plate 3. Attach camera to mount plate (see Figure 1) using the M4 fasteners provided in the hardware kit. Tighten using a #2 Phillips head screwdriver and 7mm (or 8/32”) wrench or nut driver. 4. Feed the camera cable through the cable hole in the rear of the mount (see Figure 2) before reattaching the mount plate. Locate the gasket from the hardware kit. Remove the adhesive from the gasket. Install the gasket, with the slit facing down, around the camera cable as shown in Figure 3. Install gasket with slit facing down Figure 3 - Secure gasket around cable Route the camera cable through the cable notch (see Figure 2) or drill an appropriate sized hole through the mounting surface for the camera cable. 7. 10. Hold the mount up to the installation surface and use the mounting holes (see Figure 2) as a template to mark the mounting surface. Select appropriate fasteners depending on the type of installation surface. The anchors provided may not be ideal for all installations. Ensure that the fasteners selected have at minimum 100lbs pull-out strength. Drill out the mounting surface to an appropriate depth for the fasteners used and install the anchors. If using the anchors from the hardware kit, the diameter of these fasteners is 80.300” (7.5mm). Align the mounting holes with the anchors. Ensure the camera cable is positioned properly before installing the anchor screws using a #3 Phillips head screwdriver. Page 2 of 2
