GREENHOUSES

Building Greenhouses

As soon as you get a color set, you can start buying

Greenhouses (you don’t have to wait for your turn).

Pay the Bank the cost on the Title Deed card, and place a Greenhouse on that street. You can only have 1

Greenhouse on a street.

Not enough Greenhouses?

If multiple players want to buy the last Greenhouse, the Banker must auction it. Bids start at

A

10 and anyone can increase the bid by as little as

A

1.

You don’t need to follow turn order. Payment goes to the Bank. You may not sell Greenhouses back to the Bank or to other players.

DEALS & TRADES

You can buy, sell, or swap property with other players at any time. Whether you sell to the Bank or another player, Greenhouses stay where they are. It’s OK to split a property set.

Property can be traded for cash, other property, and/or

Get Out of Jail Free cards. The amount is decided by the players making the deal.

HELP! I CAN’T PAY!

1. Try to raise money.

If you owe money and can’t pay, try to raise money by selling your properties. Sell properties back the Bank for face-value or to another player for an agreed-upon price.

Properties with Greenhouses

Sell properties with a Greenhouse back to the

Bank for the cost of that property’s rent with one

Greenhouse. Greenhouses stay where they are.

It’s OK to split a property set. When a player buys that property, they pay the price on the board and get the greened-up property and the Greenhouse!

Sell a property with a Greenhouse to another player for an agreed-upon price.

2. Are you still in debt?

You’re bankrupt and out of the game!

Do you owe another player?

Give them any Get Out of Jail Free cards you have.

Do you owe the Bank?

Return any Get Out of Jail Free cards you have to the bottom of the appropriate decks.

The game ends when all properties have been greened up and each player makes it back to the GO space.

When you reach GO after all properties have been greened up, stop there even if you have moves left.

Collect A 200. Once all players reach GO, in turn order, players collect rent from the Bank for each of their properties.

For properties with a Greenhouse, collect rent for a Greenhouse.

Now all players count up their cash. The player with the most cash wins!

If there is a tie, the player with the most money and the most green properties wins!

WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT

MONOPOLY GO GREEN?

Green up to clean up!

When you buy a property, you can invest into greening it up! Pay the Bank the cost of rent and flip that property’s Title Deed card to its green side. Land on your own property or complete that property’s color set to green it up for free. Greening up is good for the planet and lets you collect double the rent!

Build wooden Greenhouses!

Do it in the spirit of going green!

Railroads are now bike paths.

Railroads have been turned into bike paths to embrace fuel-free travel! (Well, you’ll still need to use your own fuel by pedaling your bike.) When you land on a bike path, pay

A

10 to the Bank to move to any property between that path and the next one!

Utilities are renewable energy!

The Water Works and Electric Company are now a Wind Farm and a Solar Field!

SET IT UP!

Each player chooses a token and places it on GO.

Put the dice by the gameboard.

PLAY!

HOW TO WIN

Buy properties, green them up, and collect rent as you move around the board. The game ends when all properties have been greened up. Then the player with the most cash wins!

WHO GOES FIRST?

Each player rolls both dice.

The highest roller starts, and play moves to the left.

ON YOUR TURN

1. Roll the both dice.

2. Move your token clockwise that number of spaces.

3. Where did you land? Carry out the rules of that board space.

See THE BOARD SPACES.

Did you roll doubles?

Roll the dice again, and take another turn.

Watch out!

If you roll doubles 3 times in a row, you must immediately Go To

Jail! Do not complete your third turn.

4. Your turn ends. Pass the dice to your left.

START PLAYING!

That’s all you need to know, so get going. Look up the spaces as you land on them.

THE BOARD SPACES

PROPERTIES

There are two types of properties: streets, which come in color sets, and utilities.

Unowned Properties

When you land on an unowned street or utility, you must buy it or auction it.

Want to buy it?

Pay the price on the board space, and take the Title Deed card from the Bank.

You can green up a property at any time by paying the Bank the cost of rent and then flipping that card to its green side (you don’t have to wait for your turn).

Don’t want to buy it?

The Banker must auction it. Bidding starts at

A

10, and anyone can increase the bid by as little as

A

1. You don’t need to follow turn order, and the Banker ends the auction when no player is willing to increase the bid. The highest bidder pays the Bank. If no one wants to bid on the property, that’s fine. No one pays anything, and the

Title Deed stays with the Bank.

Owned Properties

When you land on a property that someone else owns, the owner must ask you for rent. If they do ask for rent, you must pay them. If they don’t ask before the next player rolls the dice, you don’t have to pay!

Streets

Pay the rent shown on the street’s

Title Deed card.

Utilities

Roll the dice to determine rent. If the owner has 1 utility, rent is 10x the dice roll. If the owner has 2 utilities, rent is

20x the dice roll.

Collect color sets!

When you own each street in a color set:

• Immediately green up all the streets in that set for free!

Just flip those Title Deeds over to the green side, and start collecting double rent!

• You may build Greenhouses and charge even more rent!

See GREENHOUSES.

Remember, you can charge even more rent when your Title Deed is flipped to its green side. Once a property goes green, it stays green!

Do you own the property?

When you land on a property you own and it has not been greened up yet, immediately green it up for free!

Flip that Title Deed card to its green side.

ACTION SPACES

GO

When you pass or land on the GO space, collect

A

200 from the Bank.

Chance and Community Chest

Take the top card from the matching deck, and immediately do what it says.

Return it to the bottom of the deck when done.

Bike Path

You may pay

A

10 to move to any property space before the next bike path space. If the property is unowned, you may buy it from the

Bank. If it’s owned, the owner must ask you for rent, and if they do, you have to pay! If you pass GO while using the bike path, do not collect A 200.

Free Parking

Relax! Nothing happens.

Just Visiting

Don’t worry. If you land here, put your token in the Just Visiting section.

Go to Jail

Move your token to the In Jail space immediately! Do not collect

A

200 for passing GO. Your turn is then over. You can still collect rent, bid during auctions, green up properties, buy Greenhouses, and trade while you are in Jail.

How do I get out of Jail?

You have 3 options:

1. Pay

A

50 at the start of your next turn, then roll and move as normal.

2. Use a Get Out of Jail Free card at the start of your next turn if you have one (or buy one from another player). Put the card at the bottom of the appropriate deck, then roll and move.

3. Roll doubles on your next turn.

If you do, you’re free! Use the roll to move, and that’s the end of your turn.

You can use up to 3 turns to try for doubles. If you don’t roll doubles by your third turn in Jail, pay A 50, and use your last roll to move.
