1 U-cup (101) must be installed with supplied tool. Apply pressure until it clicks into place.

2 Apply lithium-based grease.

3 Torque to 185 in-lb (21 N•m).

4 Air valve nut (105) must be installed before needle.

Remove the fluid control valve, spring (106), and needle from the gun.

NOTICE

The tool (102) included in the kit must be used to install the u-cup (101). Use of anything else to install the u-cup will result in damage to the u-cup.

Use tool (102) to install the new u-cup (101). Place the u-cup over the small end of the tool with the

lips of the u-cup facing the tool. Press the u-cup into its seat in the gun body until it clicks into place.

It may require considerable force. The u-cup is not properly installed until you feel it click into

place.

Remove the air valve nut (105), the air valve spring

(104), and the air valve (103). The air valve fits tightly in the u-cup (101), so use a needle nose pliers to pull it out.

Use a pick to remove the u-cup (101) located at the bottom of the air valve opening, behind the trigger.

Do not worry about damaging the u-cup, as it will be replaced.

Insert the new air valve into the u-cup (103). Be sure to grease the air valve and insert it gently to avoid damage to the u-cup.

6.

Insert the new air valve spring (104) and nut (105).

The new air valve nut included in the kit already has the u-cup installed.

7.

Torque the air valve nut (105) to 185 in-lb (21 N•m).

8.

Replace the needle into the gun.

NOTICE

Do not install the needle before installing the air valve nut (105). If the air valve nut is not in place, the needle will damage the u-cup (101), which will cause the gun to leak.

Replace the fluid control valve and spring (106).
