Follow the Preeeun Rellef Procedure Warning on the front cover. Let the hydraulic system cool. 2. Place a container underthe reservoir and removethe drain plug (71, not shown. 3. Disconnect the hydraulicinlet hose (921 at the tee ( 5 4 1 on top of the pump 170). DiFonnect the bypasshose (1) from the ball valve 184). 4. Remove four locknut8(1471from the suction flange(1571, above the reservoir. See Fig 2. 5. Remove the four screws (81and lockwashers 111) holding the hydraulic pump ,4701 to the cooler housing (601. GRACO INC. NOTE: A complete,flexiblecoupling (C) is supplied. You should replace both halves, as couplings do wear out. However, if you are confident that the engine half is in good condition, you may replacejust the pump half. In that case, skip ahead to Step 10. 6. Loosen the couplingnut of the elbow(41) and disconnect the hydraulic drain hose (2). Remove the fan guard (761 and screw(17). oil cooler 169). cooler retaining screw( 4 0 1 andclamp (681. Loosenthecoolerdrainconnector nut (42). Pull the cooler up, out of the housing. I CAUTION Thecorrectcouplingdimension is critical.Improper engagement of the coupling halves and spider damages the coupling and makes the sprayer inoperable. 13. Reconnectthehoses.Reinstalltheresewoir plug (7). Refill the reservoir with clean, Graco-approved hydraulic oil, part no. 207.248. 7. Remove the four screws (12) holding the cooler housing 1 8 0 ) to the adapter plate(64). and pull the assembly away. NOTE: Two bladesin the fan( 7 5 ) are speciallyset to permit passing an Allen" wrench through them. 8. Loosen thesetscrew l38el in theengine half of the coupling (38). Loosen the two setscrews on the hubof thefan 1 7 5 ) . Pull the fan and coupling away from the engine. 9. Install the fan and tighten the setscrews. Install the new key, coupling and spider (half of C). 10. Remove all fmings from the old hydraulic pump and install them on the new one. 11. Reassemble in reverse order. Use the new gcrews (6) in place of S C W 18) and the oldlockwashers ( 1 1 ) when installing the new pump (A). Install the new key (C1) with the pump half of the coupling(CI. 12. Set the gap betweenthe two halves of the flexible coupling (C) at 1/32 in. (0.8 mm) and tighten the setscrews firmly. See Fig 3. Fig Fig 2 Factory 6ranchee:Atlanta.
