CHEMICAL INJECTOR MODEL NO. 800-111 3245,3035 800-117 800-139 PRESSUREWASHERS, TO BE USED WITH 22458,2245W. 2104G,2= 1535.1204G.1204E For injecting harsh chemicals, such as detergents and cleansers, downstreamfrom the pressurewashers listed above. Lf$Jl&t?: pJ 0 11 Observe chemical manufacturer's safety precautions regarding use ofgoggles, protective i clothing or respirators. I Read and.observeall warnings and instructions in the appropriate pressure washer instruction manual. ii (" 11 1. I INSTALLATION Be sure the pump is shut off and fluid pressure in the hose is relieved. NOTE Large orifice tip (23)rnusl be used for kit to siphon chemicals properly. Refer toparts drawing for numbers in parentheses in the text. Connect injector (1) to the pump's fluid outlet with the female quick coupler(16). See Figure 1. Connect hose from spray gun to male quick coupler (17). Connect coupler (22)andspray tip (23) to gun nozzle quick coupler. Drop end of plastic tubing (19) with strainer (21) into fluid product container. Cut tubing to convenientlength, andslipopenendover injector fitting. Containermaybeanyreasonabledistance below injector, but not more than 2 feet above. OPERATION ,,i .= ,:. ... ,, . : , : : .*, ,. ., . l . -i ,, . ... . Start pressure washerunit and trigger spray gun.The injector may draw momentarily as system is filling but normally will stop as system builds up to fullpressure. To actuateinjector, turn adjustmentknob (15) out, counterclockwise, until chemical begins to be drawn from the container. Afterthechemical reaches injector, flow rate may be adjusted by turning the adjustment 'knob. At two full turns from the closed position of the adjustment knob, maximumchemical flow is obtained. Do not exceed two turns. The chemicals used must be compatible with system components. The standard sprayhose is made of Buna-N rubber, and the chemical injector is brass. Cleaning Check the distance you will need to hold spray nozzle a scrapof similar from surface bytestsprayingon material. For soft surfaces, such as wood, hold noale. about 3 h (1 r n ) from surfaceandgraduallybring it closer, check to see if the high pressurespray is damaging the surface. Mist-wet surface with cleaning solution. Let it soak briefly, then use spray rinse to "chisel" off dirt. Keep nozzle at an angle to surface, and at distance you determined to be best for surface. If some dirt remains. repeat procedure, letting itsoaka little longer. Stubborn dirt can be cleaned off better with a stronger, heated cleaning solution. When you have finished cleaning, shut off unit and trigger spray gun to relieve pressure. Protect surfaces that might be damaged by cleaning solution or high pressure spray, and rinse solution, before it dries.
