THE CONTROLS
FRONT PANEL
GAIN - Controls the overall gain and amount of overdrive.
BASS, MIDDLE AND TREBLE - The filter section of the EBS ValveDrive.
Controls the timbre of the sound and is very useful for refining overdriven
sounds. These filters are of classic passive style. Please refer to the filters
section for more info.
VOLUME- Controls the overall volume of the EBS ValveDrive.
ACTIVE FOOTSWITCH - When the footswitch is pressed and the LED is red,
the pedal is active. When deactivated the pedal is bypassed or in mute mode
(depending on the setting of the bypass/mute switch on the rear panel).
VINTAGE FOOTSWITCH - Controls the character of the Valvedrive. When
the LED is RED, the pedal is set to standard MODERN character. When the
LED is YELLOW, the VINTAGE mode is selected. The vintage character
changes the tube timbre, eq and compresses the signal over the gain stage.
REAR PANEL
INPUT JACK - Connect your instrument here.
PAD SWITCH (0dB/-10dB) - Selects operation for active or passive
instruments. Press this switch if you are using an active instrument or using
another pedal before the EBS ValveDrive.
DC POWER JACK - Connect the DC power supply to this jack. Use only a
stabilized power supply if not original EBS adapter AD9+.
1/4” OUTPUT - Connect this output to an amplifier or another pedal.
BALANCED OUTPUT (XLR) - Use this output to connect to e.g. a mixing
console or sound card.
GND LIFT SWITCH - Disconnects the ground from the balanced output.
