«Schneider Automation’s conditions for the use of software against payment of a single, lump sum fee», as described in document W915905800401A delivered with software products, apply to the PL7Pro Open Team software product.
The supplementary information contained here is intended to define the authorized use of the PL7 Pro Open Team software product.
Definition
The PL7 Pro Open Team software product includes:
Ö 4 CDs containing the PL7 Pro software product, the TSX Micro and TSX Premium OS,
PL7 Pro, TSX Micro and TSX Premium user's manuals.
Ö a one year software subscription, valid from the date of delivery,
Ö a Team level license in the name of a person from the Team.
The product is updated automatically within the scope of the renewable annual subscription.
The updates are sent to the designated holder and administrator of the Team license.

PL7 Pro Open Team
The Team license authorizes PC use of PL7 Pro software to Team members exclusively.
A Team can be identified in the client’s organization by a name, a function and a geographical location. In pratical terms, a Team is a group that is part of a service, a project team.
The Team license authorizes the copying of PL7 Pro software, from the original CD on to one Team server used by Team personnel .
The Team license authorizes the remote installation of PL7 Pro software from Team server, which it has been copied to, on to PCs used by Team personnel.

Copying PL7 Pro software on to a server
Any computer operating on an OS which allows file management and which is networked, can be used as a server. A server is identified by a name.
Copying PL7 Pro software on to a server is a standard operation that can be carried out on any computer. For further details on the procedure to follow, refer to your equipment’s documentation.
In general, the following operations should be carried out:
Ö create a public directory on the server, for example \PL7PROOPEN,
The procedure to follow depends on the server type and the OS used.
Ö copy the contents of the CD PL7 Pro Open into this directory.
Remote installation of PL7 Pro software, from the server on to a PC, via the network
To install PL7 Pro Software from the server on to a PC, via the network, you must first:
Ö obtain the PL7 Pro installation code from the person who is responsible for the administration of the Team license. You will be required to give this code during installation.
It is located on the adhesive label on the back of the box of the PL7 programming software CD-Rom.
Ö connect the PC to the network via which the Team server can be accessed.
Once these conditions have been satisfied, the standard procedure for installing software from a server on to a PC applies.
In general, the following operations should be carried out:
Ö connect a network drive from the PC to the public directory of the server where PL7
Pro has been copied.
for example, drive I: to \\ <server name> \ PL7PROOPEN,
Ö launch the Setup.exe file, which is located in the PL7 directory,
Ö follow the installation guidelines.
Registering the PL7 Pro Open Team software product
Like any other PL7 license, the PL7 Pro Open Team license is subject to authorization.
To obtain authorization, when starting up PL7, you will be asked to register the software by following the guided procedure.
For more detailed information about this procedure, refer to the Readme.txt file on the
PL7 CD-Rom.
The PL7 Pro Open Team license only authorizes Team members to use the software.
A team can have up to 10 members.
Each member of the Team must submit a registration request to Schneider to obtain authorization to use PL7 on his/her PC.
The person who makes the first request will be identified as the customer “contact”.
This person will receive any product deliveries made as part of the subscription.
For each request made, you will be granted an authorization code. This code is specific to your machine. Under no circumstances, will you be able to use the same code to authorize use of PL7 on another machine.
