The LaserPro Mercury II can engrave a wide range of materials including acrylic, wood, fabrics, glass, leather, marble, stone, rubber stamps, paper products, coated metals, plastics, and more. However, bare metals cannot be engraved directly. Special spray is available to allow engraving on some bare metals like stainless steel and aluminum.

The air assist system provides a focused stream of air that blows away vaporized particles during engraving and cutting, improving the quality of the result and preventing overheating, potential fires, and smoke accumulation.

The maximum engraving size for the LaserPro Mercury II is 450 mm (17.71 inch) in length. The maximum diameter of the padded rubber wheel for the rotary attachment is 94 mm, so the maximum diameter of the load object is 180mm with a limited loading weight of 7 Kg (15.4 Lb).
