6459 – 8GB Pro Voice Recorder – 31 Day Standby Battery
How to Charge the Battery:
● Plug the device into a computer or USB wall charger using the included USB Cable
● The device takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge.
● Battery indicator bar on LCD screen will show 3 dots in the battery icon when fully
charged
Turning the device On and Off:
● Press and Hold the Record/Pause button for 3 seconds to turn On or Off
How to instantly Record an AUDIO file:
● Press and Hold the Record/Pause button for 3 seconds
● The device will turn On and instantly begin recording
● To save the recording Tap the Menu/Stop button
● To turn off Press and Hold the Play/Pause button
How to Record a standard AUDIO file:
● Press and Hold the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds to turn the device On
● Press and Hold the Record/Pause button for 3 seconds
● The device will turn On and instantly begin recording
● To save the recording Tap the Menu/Stop button
● Press and Hold the Record/Pause button for 3 seconds to make another recording
● To turn off Press and Hold the Play/Pause button
How to Access the Menu:
● Press and Hold the ( M ) Menu button for 3 seconds.
● The menu can be navigated with the Next file and Previous file button
● Tap the Play/Pause button to select a menu option
● To exit the Menu, Tap the ( M ) Menu button
● Menu overview:
○ Rec - sets the recording quality
○ VOS - turns on or off the voice activation for normal recording mode
○ Divide - the auto divide feature automatically splits long recordings into two files
○ Security - sets a security code that will require anyone operating the device to
enter in the code before they can listen to the files. This will block access to the
unit on the PC as well.
○ Date - allows you to set the date and time for the recordings
○ Format - will format the entire device and delete all recordings.
How to Record in Voice Activated Mode (VOS)
● When the device is in standby mode
● Press and Hold the ( M ) Menu button for 3 seconds
● navigated with the Next file and Previous file button to VOS
● Tap the Play/Pause button to select VOS
● navigated with the Next file and Previous file button from OFF to ON
● Tap the Play/Pause button to save changes
● To exit the Menu, Tap the ( M ) Menu button
● Now the device is in VOS voice activated mode for the next recording

NOTE: VOS has a standby time of 18 Hours
How to Record in Super Voice Activated Mode (SVOS):
● When the device is in standby mode
● On the right side of the device is a slider switch
● NOR = Normal recording
SVOS = Super Voice activated recording
● Slide the Switch to SVOS
● The screen will go Off and SVOS voice activated recording has begun
● To Exit SVOS mode and turn off the device slide the switch to NOR mode

NOTE: SVOS has a standby time of 31 days.
How to Switch file folders:
● On the right side of the device is a button labeled “fold”
● Tap the Fold button to switch between A, B, C, D, and M folders. (M is for music and the
rest are for recording)
How to Playback a file a File:
● Press and Hold the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds to turn the device On
● The device is now in standby mode
● Navigate with the Next file and Previous file button
● To play the file Tap the Play/Pause button
● To stop the playback Tap the Menu/Stop button
● Fast Forward and Rewind by Pressing and Holding the Next file or Previous file button
● Raise and lower the playback Volume with the ( + ) or ( - ) button
How to Delete a File:
● When either in Playback or Standby mode
● Navigate to a file with the Next file and Previous file button
● On the left side of the device is an E button
● Press and Hold the E button for 3 seconds
● The audio file will begin to play
● Tap the E button again to confirm deletion
● The file has been deleted
How to Record a Cell Phone conversation:
● Before turning the device on, insert the included earpiece microphone into the external
microphone slot on the right side of the device, then follow the previous instructions for
recording and put the phone up to the ear with the earpiece microphone
How to Record a Landline Conversation:
● Before turning the device on, insert the audio cable into the external microphone slot and
attach the other end to the block that will connect to the telephone line. Disconnect the
handset from the base and plug the telephone line into the block first, then plug the
block's telephone line into the handset, then follow the previous instructions.
NOTE: If the device runs out of power during the recording, it will finalize and save the
file before the battery dies

Adjust the quality of the recording
■ PCM = 352kbps
■ HQ = 126kbps
■ SP = 64kbps
■ LP = 16kbps
VOS
○ Turn VOS Voice Activation On/Off
DIVIDE
○ Adjust the max time on a recorded file
■ PCM = 6 hours
■ HQ = 10 hours
■ SP = 10 hours
■ LP = 10 hours
SECURITY
○ Turn on/off a security lock code that needs to be entered in order to access
recorded files
DATE
○ Adjust and stamp the time/date of the recordings
FORMAT
○ Allows for a full factory reset, and deletion of all saved files and settings
How to Manage & Delete Files on a PC:
● Connect the device to the PC
● When connected the PC will recognize the device as a removable disk.
● Opening the device will display all the folders on the device.
● Double click any of the folders to see the recordings
● Double click the file you wish to play.
● To DELETE a file simply right click and select DELETE from the popup menu.
NOTE:
In order to playback the files on these devices you will need to download a media player
that can play .MP3 format. We recommend VLC media player
How to Manage & Delete Files on a MAC:
● Connect the Device to your MAC computer.
● When connected the MAC will recognize the device as a removable disk.
● Opening the device will display all the folders on the device.
● Double click any of the folders to see the recordings
● Double click the file you wish to play.
● To DELETE a file, click and DRAG the file you wish to DELETE to the Trash Bin.
○ Empty the Trash Bin with the device still plugged into your computer to
permanently delete the file from the device.
Note: If the above step is not completed the files will not be fully deleted from the device
and you will have a phantom folder that will contain the deleted files. These files
will only be visible on a Windows computer.
NOTE:
In order to playback the files on these devices you will need to download a media player
that can play .MP3 format. We recommend VLC media player
How to Playback files on a Google ChromeBook:
● Connect the device to the USB port of the ChromeBook
● A pop up menu may occur, if so select “View Files”
● If a pop up does not occur, select the O icon (called the app launcher) “similar to a
windows icon button” located in the bottom left corner of the screen.
● Underneath the Google Drive Are My Drive, Downloads, New Services, and something
else that may be named “REMOVABLE DRIVE”
● Select the Removable Drive. If unsure of this step. Disconnect the device from the
Chrome Book and see what is no longer available under the Google Drive from Step 4.
● After selecting the Removable Drive, you can now navigate the folders in the main folder
to find the recorded files.
● Double Click to play.
NOTE:
In order to playback the files on these devices you will need to download an APP that can
play .MP3 format. We recommend VLC media player, available for free at the GOOGLE
PLAY STORE
How to Playback files on an Android Smartphone or Tablet(No Apple Products):
● An OTG Cable is required for this process.
● Go to your Device Storage and look for the External Memory. Inside will be all your files
that you can click on in order to review what was captured.

NOTE:
In order to playback the files on these devices you will need to download an APP that can
play .MP3 format. We recommend VLC media player, available for free at the GOOGLE
PLAY STORE
VLC Media Player (Recommended for optimal usage)
How to download VLC media (Mac)
● Go to www.videolan.org
● Click the “Download VLC”
● It will open a new window and begin downloading
● If it does not automatically begin downloading, press the Click here and select one of the
mirrored sites
● Once completed a new file named VLC will be visible on the desktop
● Open the folder and in the folder move the VLC to the applications folder by drag and
dropping it
● Once in the application folder the VLC player will complete the installation
● Open VLC media player in the Applications folder and simply drag your video files to the
“drag here” dialog box to open and play
● If the VLC player is not installing a change to the Security and Privacy settings is needed
● To access your Security and Privacy click on the Apple Icon on the task bar and select
“system preferences”
● Select “Security and Privacy”
● Make sure the Lock icon on the bottom of the screen is open and set to Make Changes
● Select the button “Open Anyways”
● VLC will now fully install
How to download and use VLC media (Windows)
● Go to www.videolan.org
● Click the “Download VLC”
● It will open a new window and begin downloading
● If it does not automatically begin downloading, press the Click here and select one of the
mirrored sites
● Once downloading has completed select Run and install
● Once finished a VLC icon will now be available on your PC
● To default open a file in VLC media player, right click on the file you wish to open and
select “Open with” and choose VLC
● To change all files to default open with VLC media player: Right click and choose
properties then click on the “Change” button next to “Open with” and change it to VLC
and press OK. Now the files will default open with VLC
NOTE: If a folder does not automatically open when connected to PC, disconnect the
device and perform the following
1. Open Control Panel by typing “control panel” in the Search bar
2. Select Programs
3. Under Default Programs, Click “Change default settings for media or devices”
4. Under Removable Devices, select “Open folder to view files”
5. Save
6. Reconnect the device to the PC
