188 Ethernet Remote Module Firmware Update
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING
1.
Download the updater file and save to your Hard Drive then extract the EXE file.
2.
Setup the PC’s fixed IP address as 192.168.20.5
a. Go to the Control Panel.
b. Double click on Network Connections
c. Right click on Local Area Connection
d. Select Properties
e. Scroll down to TCP/IP and select properties
f.
Input the above fixed IP address
g. Set the subnet mask 255.255.255.0
h. Click OK. (To revert back, select Obtain an IP Addrsss automatically)
3.
Power on the 188 while pressing down the encoder to enter the updating mode.
a. The unit will boot up with the LCD screen blank.
4.
Connect the 188 to the same hub/switcher/router as the PC.
5.
Run the firmware update program that you just downloaded.
6.
Once the program indicates success, power off the unit then back on.

If you have more units to upgrade, restart the program to update each unit.
