Frequently asked questions

Connect the internal SCSI cable to the host adapter's internal SCSI connector (J3). Ensure pin-1 orientation is maintained. Connect the cable to the internal SCSI devices, starting with the device farthest from the host adapter.

Connect an external SCSI cable to the host adapter's external SCSI connector (J4). Plug the other end of the cable into the SCSI connector on the external device. If you have more than one external device, daisy-chain them with external cables. Use an active terminator on the last external device.

For devices supporting SCAM, the software automatically assigns SCSI IDs. For older devices, you can manually set the IDs with switches or jumpers. The host adapter is set to SCSI ID 7 by default.

The SCSISelect Utility allows you to modify SCSI configuration settings. You can access it by pressing Ctrl-A at boot time or by using the cpconfig.exe file.

Connect the 34-pin floppy ribbon cable to the host adapter's floppy connector (J2) and then to the floppy drives, maintaining pin-1 orientation. Disable the floppy controller on the PC's motherboard or disk controller if necessary.
