Installation Guide for 2000-04 Focus with Blaupunkt Radio

1. To remove radio simply push tools into keyholes on both

3S4T3S4T-18C869 and the only requirement is to disconnect the factory
external CD Changer**,

portable devices, sacrificing the CD Changer should be an easy
decision.
Installation: (At the radio)
Remove radio from the dashboard to gain access to the
connectors. This kit includes the tools required to remove the
radio (See Fig. 1)

2. The radio connectors resemble those seen in Fig.2

3. Connect the blue/ green plug from adapter harness (See Fig.
3) to C-2 and C-3 slots on radio connector (See
See Fig. 2)

4. Connect the 22-way Molex plug on Adapter harness (See Fig.
3) to the 22-way connector on Main Module (See Fig. 4)

5. Turn dip switches # 2 & # 8 t o “ON” or down. All others
should be “OFF” or Up (See Fig. 5)

6. Connect the included 8-pin DIN to RCA OR 8-pin DIN to
3.5mm cable to the Main Module. (See Fig. 6)

7. Route the 3.5mm plug to the front of the dash or location where
audio device will reside (within 6 ft.) OR connect and route a set
of audio cables (not included) to audio device

I have followed the instructions but the radio does not recognize
the adapter. What do you suggest?
6. If correct operation is confirmed go ahead and reinstall the
Radio.
Please make sure the dip-switches before connecting module to harness
otherwise the radio may not recognize the adapter.
** External or remote CD Changer refers to the optional Changer installed on
the lower dash, center armrest, hatch, trunk etc. (external CD Changer is not the
Changer built-into the head unit)
