Frequently asked questions

Abutments can be oriented in six 60-degree offsets based on the implant’s six grooves. Rotate the abutment until cams engage three grooves, then insert to final depth.

A disconnector tool is used to safely remove final abutments that engage the cone, especially if adhesion occurs. It is not compatible with OD Secure abutments.

Open tray (direct pick-up) uses impression posts attached to implants; closed tray (indirect) uses impression caps and prefabricated trays for easier application and more stable impressions.

Place the healer with the occlusal notch perpendicular to the buccal plane, scan it with a 3D scanner, and verify alignment in CAD software using the correct anatomical shape, platform, and height.

Abutment screws should be tightened to 20 Ncm using a calibrated torque wrench and .050” hex driver, with counter-torque applied by grasping the abutment.
