Frequently asked questions

You can load single sheets semiautomatically with power on or manually with power off. For semiautomatic loading, place a sheet on the paper guide and insert it into the entry slot. Move the bail lever forward, and the printer will automatically feed the paper. For manual loading, insert the sheet into the entry slot, open the paper bail, turn the platen knob to position the paper, adjust as necessary, and close the paper bail.

To load fanfold forms, turn the printer OFF, set the release lever to the up position, open the bail and sprocket covers, insert the paper, close the covers, and raise the clamp levers. Turn the platen knob to feed the paper forward. To park the fanfold paper, press the On Line switch off-line, tear off the printed form, press and hold the Print Pitch switch, press the Paper Feed switch, move the release lever down, and mount the paper guide upright.

Remove the top cover and locate the adjustment lever near the left end of the paper bail. Pulling the lever widens the gap, and pushing it narrows the gap. There are four positions, and you can feel the lever clicking into place.
