Langer No.7 is a remarkably versatile turntable drive with a number of features that will enhance your listening experience. It has a precision-manufactured aluminum platter with a total mass of 3 kg, ensuring stability and minimizing wow and flutter. The brushless direct drive motor with optoelectronic speed feedback provides accurate and stable platter rotation, with speeds of 33 1/3 and 45 rpm being electronically switchable. Additionally, the drive incorporates an advanced electronic speed control system with analog circuitry, allowing for fine adjustment of platter speeds.

Place the housing (A) at the space, where it should be used. 2. The stands of the drive are adjustable in height. Just turn the corresponding stand clock/counterclock wise, to adjust for a non-flat surface. 3. Unlock the 3 integrated transport locks as follows: Attention: The platter can only be installed, when the transport locks are inactive! 4. Place Platter (C) carefully on motor axle and motor platter. The platter is not fixed with screws. It lies just with its own weight on the motor platter. Attention: The complete drive must not be moved with the platter installed! The heavy platter can destroy the motor bearing in case of shock during transport. 5. Place platter mat (D) on to the platter. 6. For installing a tonearm, refer to instructions of the tonearm manufacturer. As an option, langer audio offers adaptor plates (G) for a huge variety of tonearm brands. There are also raw adaptor plates available for adapting exotic tonearm types. © langer audio 5 7. The signal cables of the tonearm can be routed through a big hole in the bottom plate of the turntable (refer picture). Usually, there is a ground cable installed at the tonearm. It must be connected to the turntable chassis ground, to avoid hum noise. There is a connection point for this cable at the chassis bottom plate (refer picture). 8. Normally, there is also a ground connection needed between amplifier and turntable. This is to avoid hum noise. Therefore, use cable (E) and connect it to the ground point at the backside of the turntable (refer picture below). The other end of the cable must be connected to the amplifier’s ground clamp. 9. For cartridge installation, please refer the manual of your tonearm manufacturer. 10. Now you can connect your turntable to mains. Please use the power cable (F) and connect it with the plug at the backside of your turntable (refer picture below). Attention! Do only use a power cable in perfect condition, to prevent electric shock or fire hazard. © langer audio 6 D GB Bedienfeld / Operation terminal Drehzahlanzeige Indicator of platter speed Taster für Drehzahlwahl Buttons for speed selection © langer audio Anzeige: Motor ein/aus Indicator: Motor on/off Taster für Motor Start/Stop Button for motor on/off Ein-/Ausschalter On/off switch 7 D GB © langer audio Outside dimensions Width Depth Height (to platter spindle top) Height (to housing top) Height (with optional dust cover) Overall weight Wooden housing type Full metal housing type Mains voltage Universal wide range input Power consumption Maximum power consumption Power consumption during playback Drive Brushless Direct Drive Motor with optoelectronic speed feedback Electronic speed control, with analog circuit type Platter Precision manufactured from Aluminum Weight incl. platter mat Platter speeds Electronically switchable Fine adjustment with poti for each speed (for setup only, nor for normal operation) Time from start to set speed at 33 1/3 rpm Wow and flutter (according to DIN) Chassis design Heavy metal base plate with adjustable stands Sub-Chassis with suspension on four special rubber elements Tonearm integration Huge hole in sub chassis plate Distance hole (center) to platter center Capable for most of existing 9” tonearms Adaptor plates for 9” tonearm types Optional available for many tonearm models 450 mm 352 mm 115 mm 77 mm 145 mm 15 kg 29 kg 90-264VAC / 47-63Hz 30 W ~3W DDM103 DDU103 ø304 mm 3 kg 33 1/3, 45 min 4-5 s < ± 0.04% ø95 mm 203 mm 8 -1
