failure. Warranty Void if transmission oil is not kept at mandatory level.
Failure to change transmission oil and oil filter on scheduled maintenance
and at recommended level of 950ml can cause the transmission to lock and
cause serious injury or death.

Frequently asked questions

The recommended engine oil for your LX 450 E/S is HP4M (with molybdenum additives) 4-stroke oil, or equivalent motor oil. API service classification: SG or higher. JASO T 90 3 STANDARD: MA or MB, viscosity: SEA 10 W - 40

The maintenance schedule specifies that you should change the engine oil every 1500km.

The drive chain slack should be 25-35mm.

To adjust the chain slack, loosen the axle nut and adjuster lock nuts, then turn the adjusting bolts. Make sure the chain adjuster index marks are in the same position on both sides, then tighten the axle nut. Tighten the adjusting bolt lock nut against the axle adjustment plates.

You should check and adjust the valve clearance every 3500km.
