Frequently asked questions

Click the Windows Start button and select All Programs > wIntegrate > wIntegrate. Follow the steps in the Session Wizard. Click Finish to complete the Session Wizard.

wIntegrate offers the following types of communications: Serial, U2 SSH, U2 SSL, and Windows Sockets (Telnet).

From the wIntegrate toolbar, select Setup > Communications. In the Communications dialog box, select Serial. Click Setup. Select the port, baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits, and flow control. Click OK. Verify that the Open check box is selected. Click OK. Log in using the credentials for the host computer. Save the communications as part of your current configuration file by selecting from the toolbar File > Save, or select Save As if you want to save the session as a new .wic file.

The wIntegrate sessions are saved as .wic (configuration) files in the My Documents \wIntegrate\Session folder.

You can open multiple sessions to the same host or to different hosts, subject to the hosts’ ability to support multiple connections. If you have a session open, and want to open an additional one, from the wIntegrate toolbar, select File > Another. From the Open Another Session dialog box, select the .wic file for the session that you want to open, and click Open.
