Rotating middle section aids in sealing since the gaskets on the door presses on the surface of the Rotating middle section when the doors of the fridge compartment are closed.

Another reason that your refrigerator is equipped with a rotating middle section is that it increases the net volume of the fridge compartment.

Standard middle sections occupy some non-usable volume in the refrigerator.

The rotating middle section must be closed while the left door of the fridge compartment is open. It must not be opened manually, it is rotating by meas of a plastic part mounted on the cabinet.
