9.1 Troubleshooting Table
Problem Cause Solution
Unit does not power up Power switch in off position.
1. Check power switch on back of unit.
No power from outlet.
Bad power cord.
2. Check power source.
3. Replace.
LCD display difficult to read
Back lighting burned out.
1. Call Bio-Rad service.
Contrast setting out of adjustment.
Printer jam Thermal paper caught between print head and thermal plate when tearing off paper.
1. Remove excess paper between printer head and plate using fine tip tweezers.
2. Power down unit, remove thermal paper roll and re-load paper in printer.
Printer paper would not Printer paper inserted self feed or advance incorrectly, leading edge of paper uneven or folded over.

1. Power down unit/Restart unit.
2. Check spreadsheet program setup.
Cable's not fully connected/ 3. Check all connections.
