Lock/unlock the keys

When the player is on, use the lock to prevent accidental operation.

• Briefly press / to lock or unlock the keys.

All buttons except the volume keys are locked and the display shows a lock icon.

Select the safe volume

Select the safe volume when you listen through the by-packed earphones.

Press / VOLUME .

The volume screen is displayed.

Press to select the safe volume.

Tip

• For the SafeSound

options, see ‘Sound

settings’ (see ‘SafeSound’ on page 42).

For video play, exit the play screen to select the safe volume.

Screen on/off

To save power, the screen switches off automatically after the pre-defined time duration if

• no new action is taken on and

ARIAZ ;

• a value is selected in > [Display settings] > [Backlight timer] .

To exit the power-saving mode

• Press any key.
