Installation. Schneider Electric Windows NT and 95 | Manualzz

Chapter 1

Installation

This chapter describes how to install FactoryLink on Windows NT and Windows

95 platforms. Perform an initial installation if you have never installed

FactoryLink software on the destination before using one of two methods:

• Express Installation—Installs all licensed FactoryLink software modules.

• Custom Installation—Installs individual FactoryLink modules. As some options depend upon others, an incomplete or incorrect group of choices could result in an incompatible mix.

Refer to “Upgrading FactoryLink Version” on page 58 if you have previously

installed FactoryLink.

Have the following information included in Exhibit A in the authorization package available:

• Authorization desk phone and fax numbers

• List of the FactoryLink options purchased

• FactoryLink Serial Number

• FactoryLink Configuration Sequence

Each FactoryLink system is assigned a unique serial number and configuration sequence. The configuration sequence specifies which tasks have been purchased for a particular serial number. The system uses both numbers to create a registration code during installation.
