How do I dial a number on the Cisco Systems 7942G phone?
To dial a number, you can use one of the following methods: lift the handset and dial the number, dial the number and then lift the handset, or dial the number and then press the Dial soft key.

To mute a call, press the Mute button while on the call. The Mute button will light up, indicating that the other party cannot hear you.
How do I retrieve voice messages?
To retrieve voice messages, select an available line by lifting the handset, pressing the speakerphone button, or pressing a line button. Listen for the dial tone, then press the Messages button and follow the voice instructions.
