Inputs. Harris XHD 3902
The XHD 3902 offers broadcast-quality HD-SDI/SD-SDI upconversion, crossconversion, and downconversion with aspect ratio conversion (ARC), and closed-captioning support. The "U" version of the XHD-3902 is an upconverter; the "C" version is a crossconverter, and the "D" version is a downconverter. The "A" version is a standard-definition aspect ratio converter. XHD-3902-U, -C, and -D modules include the ARC capabilities of the "-A" version. The XHD-3902 is also available in a "-UCD" version, capable of any of these different types of conversion, one at a time. There are two multiple path converters in the XHD-3902 platform: the XHD-3902-M and the XHD-3902-KF. The "-M" package is a system capable of simultaneously processing two independent parallel paths of upconversion, crossconversion, or downconversion. "-KF" modules simultaneously upconvert two independent channels, making it ideal for HD key/fill applications where the key and fill signals are SD-SDI and require upconversion to HD-SDI.

Frequently asked questions
The XHD-3902 is available in several versions, including the "-U" (upconverter), "-C" (crossconverter), "-D" (downconverter), "-A" (SD-SDI aspect ratio converter), and "-UCD" (up, cross, and downconverters). The "-M" version is a multipath converter capable of processing two independent paths of conversion, while the "-KF" version is a multipath upconverter designed for key/fill applications.
The XHD-3902 supports HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and AES audio signals.
The XHD-3902 supports closed captioning, including transfer and transcoding of closed captioning information between formats. It also provides remapped closed captioning data output per SMPTE 333M over the RS-232 port.
