STEP 6 - ACTIVATING AND DEACTIVATING ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
The Angelcare ® monitor can be used with the pre-program factory settings or you can also customise your settings to your preference.
In order to activate any changes made in the main
MENU and SUB-MENU it must be confirmed by pressing the Select button.
IMPORTANT
When in MENU or SUB-MENU mode NO sound, alarm or vibration will be emitted from either the parent Unit or the Nursery
Unit even if they were activated before pressing the MENU or SUB-MENU mode.
6.1 - PAGER
Allows you to locate the parent Unit.
TO LOCATE THE PARENT UNIT:
press Nursery Unit Pager button. The parent Unit will emit a paging sound.
TO STOP THE PAGING SOUND:
press the power button on the parent Unit. After 1 minute the sound will stop automatically.
6.2 - NIGHT LIGHT
Slide right ‘wing’ of Nursery Unit to turn night light
ON or OFF.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
• Ensure that you fully charge your batteries for 15 hours before their first use.
• To maintain maximum battery life it is recommended that you fully discharge your batteries periodically. Battery performance can be diminished by leaving the batteries constantly charging. If your parent unit is not in use, please turn it off.
• Inadequate battery power can impair the performance of your monitor. If you are not happy with the performance of your parent Unit/Monitor please replace the rechargeable batteries (4 or 8 x NiMH Rechargeable Batteries).
• It is advisable to change the batteries every 6 months.
LOSS OF CONNECTIVITY
• In the case of loss of connectivity, the first step is to bring the parent Unit and
Nursery Unit closer together and make sure that both units are ON to restore the connection. If there is still no connection and no out of range warning after the above has been done, then and only then should the re-connection procedure below be done.

1) Turn the Nursery Unit and the parent Unit
Off.
2) Turn ON the parent unit - press and hold the MENU button. The Out of Range alarm will flash and you will hear a beep.
3) Turn ON the Nursery Unit and - press and hold the top button to reconnect. The TIc light will flash within a few seconds and you will hear a confirmation beep.
4) You will know your reconnection was successful when c1 appears on the parent
Unit display, then normal screen will appear.
NOTE:
The connection process should be done within 30 seconds, if you ignore or it takes longer then you will need to restart the
steps.
FALSE ALARMS
• Turn Off the Nursery Unit.
• Verify the connection between Sensor pad and Nursery Unit. Unplug and reconnect the cord.
• Make sure there is no bedding between mattress and Sensor pad.
• If the crib has a spring or slat base, place a hardboard between the crib base and the
Sensor pad measuring at least 33 cm x 33 cm and 6 mm thick.
• Make sure Sensor pad is positioned as described under the setup requirements.
Sensitivity may need to be adjusted, refer to step 5.3.
