Chapter 5 Command-Line Options for Language Translation

autodetect | multibyte | mb

Scan file for multibyet encoding.

system

Uses local system format.

UTF[8 | -8]

Unicode Transformation Format (UTF).

SJIS | Shift-JIS | ShiftJIS

Shift Japanese Industrial Standard (Shift-JIS) format.f

EUC[JP | -JP]

Japanese Extended UNIX Code (EUCJP) format.

ISO[2022JP | -2022-JP]

International Organization of Standards (ISO) Japanese format.

Remarks

The compiler automatically detects UTF-8 (Unicode Transformation Format) header or

UCS-2/UCS-4 (Uniform Communications Standard) encodings regardless of setting. The default setting is ascii

.

5.4 -flag

Specifies compiler

#pragma

as either on

or off

.

Syntax

-fl[ag] [no-]pragma

Remarks

For example, this option setting

-flag require_prototypes is equivalent to

#pragma require_prototypes on
