GENSAN has limitations such as not supporting 20-bit audio, compressed audio, and legacy Nexio servers using AMD processors. It also lacks support for Media IDs, subclip IDs, trimming, and consolidation of large clips, among other features.

What are the minimum requirements for client PCs to access the system remotely?

Client PCs must have a Windows OS capable of accessing SMB3-compatible shares (Windows Server 2012, Windows 8.1, Windows 10), a minimum 1 Gb/s Ethernet connection (10 Gb/s recommended), and 3rd party NLEs supporting MOV wrapped files.

What storage hardware has been tested and validated for GENSAN?

GENSAN has been tested with EMC Isilon X410, HP 3PAR, NetApp FAS8040, and Quantum StorNext M440. The customer must determine the bandwidth and total storage of other hardware.
