Frequently Answers and Questions

How do I adjust the card funnel to the correct card thickness?

To adjust the card funnel to the correct card thickness there are two red eccentric screws on the left and right side of the card funnel. By turning the two eccentric screws the difference between printing beams and needle matrix head will be changed. Adjustment is necessary if the print on the time card is irregular or too weak.

How do I set the time and date on the recorder?

To set the time and date, first press "E" until the column pointer marks the symbol for time. Then, enter the current hour using "R". Confirm the hour with "E". Repeat this process for the minutes, but set the time to one minute before the reference time. Press "E" when the reference time of an external clock corresponds to the time displayed on the unit. The unit will then switch to "Synchronise analogue clock" and the column pointer will switch to "Set hands." Set the minute hand on 12h and the hour hand on the full hour entered, confirming each setting with "E." Finally, enter the date using "R" and confirm with "E."

What do I do if the power supply fails?

The recorder is provided with a controlled quartz clock with a power reserve. The lithium battery stores the correct time for years in case of power failure. The analogue clock will be synchronised with the internal quartz clock as soon as power returns.

How to adjust the size of the date and stamped time printed by the device?

The size of the date and stamped time can be adjusted by changing the print format. The device stores multiple print formats, each with a number to select it. A list of available print formats is in the manual, detailing which fields (day, hours, minutes, etc.) are printed in each format. Choose a format that meets the needs, including a larger font size if available.

How to troubleshoot a clock that does not display the time after connecting to power?

Ensure the power switch on the motherboard is set to position 1. For model 2010, the time and date can be manually set using the R and E keys if the system was not pre-programmed. For model 2005, the time is only visible on the analog clock face. Verify the fuse and cable connections. Error codes starting with the letter E may indicate a real-time clock failure, which may require a device restart or a total reset.

How to manually synchronize the analog clock hands?

Open the recorder and press the E key until the column indicator shows the time symbol. Confirm the hour and minutes with the E key. When the hand-setting symbol appears, move the hands to the correct positions as shown on the display, then confirm the date with the E key to start automatic synchronization.

How to troubleshoot a blank display?

Ensure the power switch on the left side of the circuit board is in position '1'. Check all power connections and verify the condition of the fuse (type T 200 mA for 230 V).

How to replace the ink ribbon cassette?

With the device on, hold the R and E keys for 1 second to park the carrier. Tilt the programming panel forward and pull the old cassette upward. Insert the new cassette, ensuring the ribbon is positioned in front of the print head and is not twisted. Tighten the ribbon using the red knob and hold R and E again for 1 second to return to normal operation.
