Presentation
The models of this series are electronic driven attendance units for the mechanical time recording which can be programmed for the different time organisations.
The time recorders of this series are available in different models and power stages.
All models of this series are non-calculating and non-punching units. The column position is marked by a column pointer in the pointer field.
The pointer field shows the current illustration with the column separation of the card used. Positioning resp. the transport of the printer head in the corresponding column is released by the large position key
As card formats a number of determined standard card formats are available and can be activated by selection from the programming routine. If desired the commissioning, that means the programming of the unit, can be performed ex factory. So the unit is ready for operation immediately after power supply has been plugged in.
In order to guarantee the operational reliability of the unit, they will be tested very carefully before leaving the factory. If there should be any problems which cannot be solved with this manual, please contact our service department or your sales partner.
The present manual gives you step by step all information about handling the time recorder. It contains all functions which are important for the user.
Please read the manual and especially the safety instructions before using the unit.

Mode of operation
Clocking is very similar for all units. Depending on the unit there are small differences by the use of graphical cards.
Card handling
Before the card is inserted into the unit, please compare the date displayed with the print position on the card. So you can ensure that the right card side is used. Only by this an overprinting of clockings can be excluded.
With all units the card side on which the clocking shall be printed must be orientated towards the user .
1.
Insert card into card funnel and push card till the stop.
To release the print, please push card slightly down.
2.
Remove card from unit.
Hint
Do not pull the card out of the card funnel during clocking. This could cause an inexact clocking on the time card.
Conditions for a proper clocking:
• Store time cards on a dry place.
• Protect time cards against damage, especially deformations like bending and kneeing.
• Protect time cards against dust, oil, no chemical steams that may corrode the material.
• Use only new ribbons. When the clocking gets lighter, please change the ribbon.
• Protect time cards against direct sunlight.
• Store time cards in a card box which can be purchased.
• Due to tolerances in the manufacturing of the time cards the position of the print may be changed. Therefore check the print of the time card from time to time and if necessary adjust the print position by means of the stored adjustment routine.
Clocking with standard cards
The clocking is printed in lines related to the clocking day. The card has separate INand OUT columns and the days within a clocking period are arranged horizontally.
The current clocking column is marked by the column pointer in the pointer field. The printer head advances to the next clocking column with each pressing of the position key. The column pointer advances from left to right.
16 Mode of operation
Hint
The red position key is only for column selection and not for print release. If the right clocking column is already marked, you need not press the position key.

Clocking with graphic cards (only 2010)
The clocking is printed in columns related to the clocking day. The card has no line separation. Each clocking column is one clocking day of the period.
All clockings of one day are printed in the same vertical column. The column change is executed automatically by the unit.
Contrary to the normal unit, the funnel shield shows the dates of the period duration programmed. In normal operation the current date on the display must correspond with the date on the funnel shield marked by the column pointer.

Standby operation (payable option)
In order to maintain the normal operation in case of power failure the unit must be provided with a standby operation.
Normal clocking operation is maintained for 24 hours and for about 300 clockings.
In case of power failure the unit switches automatically to standby operation.
Standby operation is indicated by a flashing line in the right segment of the digital display. The current date is not displayed during the unit is in standby operation. To safe battery capacity all sub-functions, e.g. adjustment, programming, test runs etc.
will be blocked.
A ribbon change can be carried out at any time during standby operation.

Maintenance
Adjustment routine
The position of the clocking on the time card is defined when programming the unit.
Generally ex factory. But it may happen that the clocking is not printed exactly in the right position due to manufacturing tolerance. With the adjustment routine the position of the clocking on the time card can be adjusted in vertical and horizontal direction and adapted to new card dimensions.
The clocking can be adjusted within -5.0 mm and +4.9 mm in both directions, from the left to the right and from top to bottom.
The adjustment is executed via the adjustment value which must be between 00 and
99. This adjustment value corresponds with the dimensions of the unit printed on this page. The adjustment value pre-programmed ex factory is 50 and this value means no change in print position. Changes are in steps of 0.1 mm.
