Instructions for Use

T o reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. DO NOT change the plug in any way.

1. This unit is powered by and comes equipped with a UL approved cord.

ALWAYS make sure the unit is set to the “OFF” position before inserting the plug into a 120-volt electrical outlet.

2. Massage: To activate, slide the bottom switch to “M” for Massage or to

“M+SH” for Massage with Soothing Heat. To activate Thermal Heat, slide the top switch to “M+TH”. Note: the heat functions can only be activated when the massage function is in use.

NOTE: Only the Thermal Point massage attachment should be used with Thermal Heat.

NOTE: To eliminate the risk of being burned, never use the thermal heat function without the attachments. Do not use the heat continuously for more than 15 minutes. Do not use the heat if you have sensitive skin, poor circulation, discolored areas, swelling, burned, inflamed or where skin eruptions or sores are present. Heat should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.

Please Note:

The heat option will only work while a massage feature is selected.

3. Adjustable Handle: This unit has an adjustable handle with a swivel head to allow the massager to hit hard-to-reach areas. To adjust, simply turn the handle clockwise until the desired position is reached.

To return the handle to its original position, turn the handle counterclockwise.

4. Apply massager head lightly to the area you wish to massage.

5. Move the unit slowly, holding on the targeted area. Massage the area for a short period of time and move to another area. NEVER massage the same spot longer than 3 minutes. CAUTION - as stated in the“IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS” section of this manual, NEVER use this appliance on or near eyes or other highly sensitive areas.

6. Operation of longer than 15 minutes is not recommended and may cause overheating.

7. When massage is completed, turn unit off, allow to cool, unplug the power cord and store properly in a dry place.

Maintenance

To Clean

Be sure to unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning.

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe. NEVER allow water or any liquids to come into contact with the handle.

To Store

Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow it to cool before storing in its box or a clean, dry place. Coil the cord and secure it with the supplied fastener. DO NOT hang the unit by the power cord.

HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.

To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, contact a consumer relations representative by telephone at 1-800-466-3342 for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the product available.

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

Instrucciones de uso

Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado

(una hoja es más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe encajará en un tomacorriente polarizado de una sola forma. Si el enchufe no encaja completamente en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aún así no encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado para instalar el tomacorriente adecuado. No modifique el enchufe de ninguna manera.

1. El masajeador de percusión programable se alimenta con un cable aprobado por UL que se incluye. Asegúrese SIEMPRE de que la unidad se encuentre con el interruptor en posición “OFF” antes de inserir el enchufe en un tomacorriente doméstico de

120 voltios.

2. Masaje: Para activarlo, deslice el interruptor de la parte inferior de la “M” para el masaje o “M + SH” para un masaje con calor suave. Para activar la térmica de calor, deslice el interruptor de la parte superior de “M + TH”.

NOTA: Con el Calor termal se debe usar únicamente el accesorio de

masaje Thermal Point.

NOTA: Para eliminar el riesgo de quemaduras, no use nunca la función

de calor termal sin los accesorios. No use el calor por más de 15 minu

tos segui dos. No use el calor si tiene piel sensible, mala circulación,

áreas descolo ridas, hinchazón, quemaduras, inflamación o si hay erup

ciones o llagas en la piel. El calor debe ser placentero y confortable. Si

provoca dolor o inco modidad, deje de usarlo y consulte a su médico.

3. Mango Ajustable: Esta unidad cuenta con un asa regulable con una cabeza giratoria para permitir que el masajeador de golpear duro a llegar a las zonas.

ATENCIÓN:

La opción de calor funciona sólo si se ha seleccionado una función de masaje.

Para ajustar, simplemente gire el mango hacia la derecha hasta la posición deseada. Para volver la palanca a su posición original, gire la manivela en sentido antihorario.

4. Aplique suavemente la cabeza masajeadora al área que usted desea masajear.

5. Mueva el aparato lentamente, manteniéndolo en el área deseada.

Masajee el área por un breve período de tiempo y luego cambie a otra área. Nunca masajee el mismo lugar por más de 3 minutos.

PRECAUCIÓN - como se indica en la sección “PRECAUCIONES

IMPORTANTES” de este manual, no use NUNCA este aparato cerca o sobre los ojos u otras áreas muy sensibles.

6. El funcionamiento por más de 15 minutos no es recomendable y puede causar recalentamiento.

7. Al terminar con los masajes, apague la unidad, desenchufe el cordón eléctrico, déjela enfriar y guárdela apropiadamente en un lugar seco.

Para cambiar a un archivo adjunto diferente, sólo tiene que pulsar el botón en la parte superior de la cabeza (Fig. 1) y sacar una nueva inserción en su lugar. Use únicamente los accesorios proporcionados, recomendados o vendidos por el fabricante.

NOTA: Con el Calor termal se debe usar únicamente el accesorio de masaje Thermal Point.

Mantenimiento

PARA LIMPIAR:

Asegúrese de desenchufar la unidad y permita que se enfríe antes de limpiar. Utilice un paño suave, apenas húmedo para repasar. Nunca permita que el agua ni cualquier otro líquido entre en contacto con el mango.

PARA GUARDAR:

Desenchufe el artefacto y permita que se enfríe antes de guardarlo en su caja o en un lugar limpio y seco. Enrolle el cordón y sujételo con el sujetador que se proporciona. No cuelgue la unidad del cable de corriente.
