5.3 Changing oil
Drain the oil while the engine is still warm to assure rapid and complete draining.
■ Make sure to turn the engine switch ―OFF‖ before draining the oil.
1. Loosen the cover screws and remove the side maintenance cover.
2. Remove the oil dipstick.
3. Install the oil drain pipe (included with the generator).
4. Drain the dirty oil into a container. Be sure to allow time for the oil to drain completely.
5. Refill with the recommended oil, and check to be sure the oil level is at the upper line on the dipstick.
6. Reinstall the dipstick and then the maintenance cover and tighten the screws securely.
