Summary
IDENTIKEY Authentication Server (IAS) uses the standard RADIUS ports 1812 and
1813 by default. The IAS configuration wizard does not allow the ports to be changed
during installation but this can be changed later.

After the IAS software is installed the IAS Configuration Wizard will run to setup the
server settings. The following screenshot will appear if IAS cannot gain control of the
RADIUS ports it needs. You can either change the ports used by the third party
product or configure IAS to use other ports.

To configure IAS to use alternate ports you must disable the service running for the
third party RADIUS server.
If using Microsoft’s NPS:

Open Windows Services from Administrator Tools
Right click Network Policy Server and select stop. This will allow IAS to take
control of RADIUS ports 1812 and 1813.
Click OK on the RADIUS Authentication Port <1812> is already in use error message.

Continue through the rest of the IAS Configuration Wizard.
Stop the VASCO IDENTIKEY Authentication Server service

Start the Network Policy Server service
Open the IDENTIKEY Authentication Server Configuration GUI. Select the
Communications icon on the side panel and then select the RADIUS tab. Enter your
desired ports, typically the alternate RADIUS ports would be 1645 and 1646

Start the VASCO IDENTIKEY Authentication Server service. IAS will be using ports
1645 and 1646 and NPS will use ports 1812 and 1813
