Rotate the Function switch to the 400AAC/DC position. Press the MODE button to select AC or DC. Press the trigger to open the jaw and enclose only one conductor. Read the current value in the display.

With no conductor in the jaw, press and hold the MODE ZERO button for two beeps. The display will zero, storing the offset value and removing it from all measurements.

Slide the input shutter to the up position. Rotate the function switch to the V position. Press the MODE button to select AC or DC Voltage. Insert the test leads into the appropriate jacks. Touch the test probes to the circuit and read the voltage value in the display.

Slide the input shutter to the up position. Set the function switch to the Ω position. Insert the test leads into the appropriate jacks. Touch the test probes to the device and read the resistance value in the display.

Connect the test leads as for resistance measurements. Press the MODE button to select continuity. Touch the test probes across the circuit or component under test. If the resistance is < 50Ω, a tone will sound.

Connect the test leads as for resistance measurements. Press the MODE button to select diode test. Touch the test probes to the diode or semiconductor junction under test, noting the meter reading. Reverse the test lead polarity and note the reading again. Evaluate the diode or junction based on the readings.
