The Foldnak 40 has four operation modes: stapling and folding with Nagel staples 26/6, stapling and folding with Nagel loop staples Ri 26/6, folding without stapling, and corner stapling (optional).

To refill the staples, draw the staple pusher backwards with your index finger below it. Then pull the cover and swing it open. Use only Nagel staples 26/6 or Ri 26/6. Close the cover, slide it forward below the pin, and push down to disengage and guide it towards the staples.

The Foldnak 40 can staple up to 2.5 mm (approximately 25 sheets 80g/m2).
