The safety sensors

If you have under-filled or over-filled the Jug, the Bottom or Top Sensor will cause the alarm to sound and will prevent the program from beginning.

If during the cycle your soup boils to above the Top Sensor, the Soup Maker & Blender will switch off as a safety precaution to prevent any risk of liquid boiling over.

See the error code section on page 9 for more information.

Caution: High starch ingredients like flour, sugar, milk or cream will burn if added at the beginning of any cooking cycle. Only add them after cooking is completed, using the

Pulse function to mix the ingredients for a few seconds.

Making smooth soup

1. Chop all your solid ingredients into 2 – 3cm pieces and add to the Jug.

2. Pour your liquid or stock into the Jug. All liquids should be at room temperature.

3. Check that your combined ingredients exceed the Soup Min Line while not going over the Soup Max Line.

4. Fix on the Lid with the Measuring Cup in place and press the On/Off button to turn on.

5. Press the Smooth Soup button to blend your soup. Your soup will take approximately 25 - 30 minutes to blend and cook. You can stop the cycle at any time by pressing the On/Off button.

Cleaning & Care

The Soup Maker & Blender and its parts are not dishwasher safe.

The Jug must not be submerged in water.

To clean, rinse the Jug under a tap. Wipe the inside using a damp cloth. If there is any stuck or burnt-on food inside the Jug, use the included Cleaning Brush to remove. Be careful when cleaning around the blade, as it is very sharp and is non-removable.

The Lid, Filter, Measuring Cup and Steamer can be washed in the sink in warm, soapy water.

Wipe down the Power Base with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the Power Base in water.

You may need to soak the Filter in hot water for several hours to remove any residue trapped in the holes.

Using the self-cleaning function

1. Fill the Jug with approximately 800ml of water. Add a small amount of washing-up liquid if necessary. Place on the Lid with the Measuring Cup in place.

2. Turn on the Soup Maker & Blender and select either Pulse or Blend to clean the
