IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING!

READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all of the instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

1. This product is intended for indoor, non-commercial, household use for temporarily heating residential rooms. Do not use the product for any other purpose.

2. Do not leave the product unattended while it is in use. Always unplug the product from the electrical outlet when it is not in use.

3. Keep the product out of the reach of children and pets. This product is not intended for use by children.

4. Place the product on a flat, steady, stable, heat-resistant surface.

Never place the device directly in front of or under a socket.

5. This product has hot parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored, as there may be a risk of fire or explosion.

6. Use the product in a well-ventilated area. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch a hot surface. Use handle when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) from all sides of the heater.

7. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or personal injury.

8. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any opening on the heater as this may cause an electric shock, fire, or product damage.

9. Do not use this product to dry or heat clothing, shoes, pipes, or any other item.

10. This heater is not intended for use in damp/wet locations.

11. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

12. Do not move the product when it is heated. Allow the product to thoroughly cool before handling it.

13. Plug the product into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

14. Do not allow the Power Cord to hang (e.g., over the edge of a table or counter) or place/run the Power Cord under rugs, carpeting, or in high-traffic areas where it may be tripped over or pulled.

15. To disconnect the product, press the Power button on the display panel and then remove the plug from the electrical outlet. Never pull on the Power Cord when disconnecting from power outlet.

16. Do not put any stress on the Power Cord where it connects to the product, as the Power

Cord could fray and break.

17. Do not plug or unplug the product from the electrical outlet with wet hands.

18. Keep the Power Cord and product away from heated surfaces.

19. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, after the heater malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the product to a service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.

TO PREVENT A POSSIBLE FIRE, DO NOT BLOCK HEAT IN ANY MANNER. IN ORDER TO AVOID

OVERHEATING, DO NOT COVER THE HEATER. NEVER COVER THE TOP OR BOTTOM HEAT VENTS.

CAUTION: Do not use this device with a programmer, timer switch or any other device which would switch the device on automatically; There is danger of a fire if the device is covered or incorrectly located.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING!

Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the user that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the user.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

 To avoid a circuit overload when using this product, do not operate another highwattage product on the same electrical circuit.

 Avoid the use of extension cords because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.

SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS!

CAUTION:

A short Power Supply Cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also the extension cord must be (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125 V and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidently tripped over.

ELECTRIC POWER

If the electric circuit is overloaded by other appliances, your heater and/or appliances may not operate properly. The heater should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.

POLARIZED PLUG

This heater has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

SAFETY WARNING

Although your heater is easy to operate, for your safety, the below warnings must be followed:

1. Do not place the heater near a heat source.

2. Never leave the heater unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.

3. To avoid any accidental burns, never place hands on vents or sides when the appliance is in operation.

4. Use the heater on a stable surface away from water.

5. Do not unplug from the socket by pulling on the power cord.

6. The heater must be unplugged:

A. Before any cleaning

B. After each use

C. If it appears to be faulty

ASSEMBLY & OPERATION:

CAUTION:

Do not use this heater if any part has been under water. Immediately contact Crane

Customer Care or a qualified electrician to inspect or replace the heater if necessary. Keep plastic wrapping away from children.

ALWAYS USE CAUTION WHEN HANDLING THE TOWER HEATER. DO NOT DROP HEATER

OR COVER THE HEAT GRILL.

ASSEMBLY:

1. Open the packaging, take the unit out and unscrew the Cover Fixer. Be

responsible when handling the packing materials.

2. Insert the Glass Base into the bottom of the unit and screw on the Cover Fixer.

3. Place the unit upright on a flat floor before use.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Press the power icon to turn on the heater. Press it again to turn it off.

2. When the unit is on a. Press I or II to switch from LOW to HIGH power. b. Press the double sided arrow to switch the oscillation feature ON or OFF. c. Press H / °F to set the time & temperature: i. Press once, then use +/- to set the timer from 1HR to 12HR. ii. Press twice, then use +/- to set the temperature from 59°-95°F. The temperature will adjust by 1° each time. iii. Press a third time to confirm the set time / temperature. The display will then read the current room temperature and automatically maintain the set temperature by turning the heating elements on iv. and off during the set time.

NOTE: If you touch the sensor H / °F the control light will flash for a time of 5 seconds. If you do not press any button within 5 seconds or you press a button other than SET, + or -, then the LED display will display the temperature in the room.

When the temperature in the room is lower than 15°F, the display will show LO. When the temperature in the room is higher than 99°F, the display will show HI. When the temperature is in the range of 15 – 99°F, the display will show the actual temperature in the room.

REMOTE CONTROL

There are 6 buttons on the remote control. Their function is equivalent to the functions of the touch sensors on the control panel of the device. If you wish to use the remote control, point it at the approximate level of the control panel with the display. The maximum signal range is 6 meters. If you place the remote in such a way the transmission of the signal is blocked by barrier, the signal may not be transmitted at all.

Remove the battery door on the back of the remote

Confirm polarity and insert battery into the battery door.

Insert battery door back into remote.

SAFETY PROTECTION SYSTEMS

This Tower Heater has protection safeguards that shut off the Tower Heater when/if the components become excessively hot including a tip over switch and overheat

protection.

 If the tower heater becomes overheated, it will shut OFF automatically.

 Remove any nearby objects that may be causing overheat conditions. Keep at least three feet of space on all sides of the heater to allow adequate air circulation.

 Use the Tower Heater in a well-ventilated area.

 Place on a flat, smooth, stable surface.

 Unplug the Tower Heater from power outlet. Allow Tower Heater to completely cool, then plug back into the electrical outlet for use.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your Tower Heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, the above mentioned safety features may have activated to prevent overheating.

 Be sure the power supply cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.

 The Tower Heater may be off due to overheating. Unplug the cord and allow it to cool 15-20 minutes before plugging it back in & turning it on.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Always be sure the heater is switched OFF, unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning or attempting to store the item. The Tower Heater takes approximately 15-20 minutes to cool completely. Do NOT immerse heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater, as this could create an electric shock hazard.

PLEASE NOTE: Regardless of the type of heating system setup, always install and maintain at least one smoke detector in good working condition on each floor of your home.

Periodically check and/or replace the battery in your smoke detector with a fresh battery.

CLEANING & STORAGE

 Always turn off the heater and disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning your heater.

 Light accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner.

 Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp cloth and buff with a dry cloth.

DO NOT use any detergents or abrasives and do not allow any water to enter the heater.

DO NOT allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could create a fire or electric shock hazard.

 The fan motor is lubricated for life and will not require further lubrication.

AIR FILTER

Dirt and dust may be caught on the air filter during operation. The caught dirt and dust may negatively affect the function of the device. So clean the air filter regularly.

Remove the grill for the inflow of air from back part of the device. Remove the air filter from the grill. Wash the filter by hand in a lukewarm solution of water and detergent. Then rinse the filter in clean water and allow it to dry thoroughly. Place the clean, dry filter back into the back grill and attach it to the device. Do not use the device without the filter and back grill being installed.

STORING

Allow the appliance to cool completely before storing. Store the appliance in a dry location. Do not place any heavy items on top of appliance during storage as this may result in possible damage of appliance. Store the cord in a clean, dry location away from metal objects. Always check the plug before use to assure metal items have not become attached.
