IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING!

READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all the instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

1. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front, sides and rear of the heater.

2. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.

3. Always unplug when not in use.

4. DO NOT remove tank during operation. It is advisable to carry filled Water Tank with two hands.

5. DO NOT operate outdoors. This product is intended for indoor use only.

6. DO NOT operate humidifier without water. Use only clean, cool tap water to fill the tank. DO NOT use hot water.

7. DO NOT pour water into any openings other than the water tank.

8. Do not cover any openings on the unit, or insert objects into any openings.

9. Be sure that the water tank cap is firmly tightened.

10. Use only a 110-120VAC outlet. ALWAYS plug and unplug unit with dry hands to

avoid electric shock.

11. Never operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug.

12. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

Always plug directly into a wall outlet/receptacle.

13. Never locate where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. This product is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas or similar locations.

14. Always place the unit on a smooth, flat, lint-free, non-metallic, waterproof and level surface and position unit away from direct sunlight. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces and areas where it could be walked on or tripped over. Unplug the unit when not in use and whenever you clean or move the unit.

15. Do NOT add medication of any type into the Water Basin or Water Tank.

16. The humidifier requires daily and weekly cleaning to operate appropriately. Refer to cleaning instructions.

17. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.

18. DO NOT run cord under carpeting, throw rugs, runners or similar coverings.

19. Do not tilt, tip or attempt to empty or fill the unit while it is in operation.

20. DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. Do not overfill the humidifier.

21. Do NOT move the appliance while in use as it can spill water if tilted.

22. Do NOT use appliance while sleepy or drowsy.

23. Use only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING!

Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the user that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the user.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

• To avoid a circuit overload when using this product, do not operate another high wattage product on the same electrical circuit.

• Avoid the use of an extension cord. The extension cord may overheat and cause risk of fire.

SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS!

CAUTION

:

A short Power Supply Cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also the extension cord must be (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125 V and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidently tripped over.

ELECTRIC POWER

If the electric circuit is overloaded by other appliances, your heater/humidifier and/or appliances may not operate properly. This product should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.

POLARIZED PLUG

This heater/humidifier has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).

As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.

Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

SAFETY WARNING

Although your heater/humidifier is easy to operate, for your safety, the below warnings must be followed:

1. Do not place near a heat source.

2. Never leave unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.

3. To avoid any accidents, never place hand on mist lid or heat vent while in operation.

4. Use on a stable, level surface away from water.

5. Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.

6. This product must be unplugged:

A. Before filling or emptying the Water Basin and/or Water Tank of the humidifier.

B. Before any cleaning or maintenance is performed.

C. After each use.

D. If it appears to be faulty.

HEATER ASSEMBLY

WARNING:

Do NOT use this tower heater or humidifier if any part has been under water.

Immediately contact Crane Customer Care or a qualified electrician to inspect or replace the heater if necessary. Keep plastic wrapping away from children.

BASE ASSEMBLY

1. Remove tie from power cord and unravel cord.

2. Unscrew the black plastic cap from the base of the heater.

3. Slide the base onto the bottom of the heater with the feet facing away from the heater.

4. Screw the black plastic cap back on to secure the base.

5. Place heater on the floor in the desired location.

CAUTION

Do not use your tower heater if it has not been fully assembled. Make sure the base and the main unit are tightened securely before use.

SAFETY PROTECTION SYSTEMS:

TIP OVER SWITCH

This heater has a built-in safety feature to automatically turn off the device when it is tipped over. If the device falls over, this function serves as protection against a dangerous situation.

OVERHEAT PROTECTION

The heater has an internal, overheating safety device which automatically switches the heater off if an overheat situation is detected. If this should occur, unplug the appliance and wait until the unit cools off. Once the unit has fully cooled, you may switch it on again.

HEATER OPERATION & USE

CONTROL PANEL

POWER BUTTON

Press the power icon to turn on the heater.

Press it again to turn off the heater.

POWER LEVEL

Press to change the power level back and forth between High and

Low heat.

OSCILLATION

Press to turn the oscillation feature on or off.

TIMER SETTING

Press gear button once, then use the + and – buttons to set the timer from 1-12 hours. Press gear button 1 more time to access the temperature settings, or twice to confirm the timer setting.

TEMPERATURE SETTING

Press gear button twice, then use the + and – buttons to set the desired temperature in the range of 41-95°F. The + and – buttons will increase or decrease the temperature by 1°F. Press gear button once to confirm the setting.

Once setting the timer or temperature, the digital display will read the current room temperature & automatically maintain the set temperature setting by turning on & off the heating elements during the set time.

ECO FUNCTION:

The ECO function automatically sets the default temperature to 71.6°F. If the room temperature is lower than 64.4°F, the heater will use the high temperature setting, on automatically; Once the room temperature is higher than 64.4°F, the heater will automatically switch to the low heat setting; Once room temperature reaches 71.6°F, the heater will shut off & the digital display will show “EC”.

REMOTE CONTROL

There are 6 buttons on the remote control equivalent to the control panel on the device.

The maximum signal range of the remote is 15ft. If there is a barrier blocking the transmission signal from the remote to the heater, the signal may not be transmitted at all.

HUMIDIFIER ASSEMBLY & OPERATION

ASSEMBLY

ALWAYS use fresh cool water when operating the humidifier and carry the water tank with two hands.

1. Open the back panel by pressing the tab and pulling outwards. Remove the Water

Tank, turn over and unscrew the Water Tank Cap with attached Filter. The filter is optional and can be removed/used without by unscrewing from the cap.

2. Fill Water Tank with cool water only. DO NOT fill all the way to the rim. DO NOT add any medication, essential oils or salt to the tank.

3. Screw the Water Tank Cap back on the Water Tank and replace inside the unit, making sure the tank fits securely. Replace the back panel before use.

Notes:

1. Do not attempt to move the humidifier/heater while Water Tank is filled inside the unit. Doing so may cause leakage of water and/or the Base to overfill.

2. The heater & humidifier may be operated at the same time or separately.

3. The Water Tank must be installed and full of water in order to turn on the humidifier in order to avoid damage to the unit.

OPERATION

1. The on/off switch is located on the bottom right side of the unit. The power indicator will turn green when the humidifier is on. Turn the knob up to turn on and increase the mist. Turn the knob down to decrease mist or turn the humidifier off.

2. When the unit runs out of water, the mist and fan stop working and the power indicator light turns red.

TOWER HEATER MAINTENANCE

CAUTION:

Always be sure that the heater is switched OFF, unplugged and completely cooled before

cleaning or attempting to store the item.

1. Always turn off the product and disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning your heater.

2. Light accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner.

3. Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp cloth and buff with a dry cloth. DO NOT use any detergents or abrasives

4. The fan motor is lubricated for life and will not require further lubrication.

AIR FILTER

Dirt and dust may be caught on the air filter during operation. The caught dirt and dust may negatively affect the function of the device. So clean the filter screen regularly. Remove the back grill for the inflow of air from back part of the device. Remove the filter screen from the grill.

Wash the filter by hand in a lukewarm solution of water and detergent. Then rinse the filter in clean water and allow it to dry thoroughly. Place the clean, dry filter back into the back grill and attach it to the device. Do not use the device without the filter and back grill being installed.

HUMIDIFIER MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT:

Water left in the tank or base when not in use may result in buildup of mineral

deposits and bacteria which may inhibit the output efficiency as well as void the warranty. If

water remains in the Water Tank for more than a day or two, bacterial growth is possible.

DAILY MAINTENANCE

1. Turn off, unplug from outlet and empty water from the tank & base daily. (To drain the base, place a bowl under the Water Outlet

Cover located below the back grill, and remove plug to release the water into the bowl.)

2. Allow tank & base to air dry.

3. Leave cap off the tank until ready for next use.

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

1. Turn off, unplug from outlet and empty water from water tank & base.

2. Fill the water tank halfway with warm water and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.

Shake vigorously and let sit for 30 min. Empty tank and rinse with plain water.

3. Fill base with water and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Let sit for 30 minutes. Use the brush (1), located inside the unit beneath the water tank, and clean the nebulizer. To clean the nebulizer, lift the latch attached to the mist chamber (2).

4. To remove mixture from the basin, place a bowl under the water outlet cover, located below the back grill, and remove plug. Water will begin to drain from the basin into the bowl.

5. Allow tank & base to air dry, and leave cap off the tank until next use.

WHEN STORING THE TOWER HEATER WITH HUMIDIFIER, LET ALL PARTS DRY AND COOL

COMPLETELY BEFORE STORING AWAY IN A COOL, DRY PLACE UNTIL NEXT USE. STORE

THE CORD AWAY FROM METAL OBJECTS.

TROUBLESHOOTING

DO NOT attempt to repair the motor yourself.

If the humidifier continues to not operate, please contact Crane Customer Care.

Problem Possible Solution

If humidifier does not have any power:

Condensation forms around humidifier & windows:

Heater is turning off

If there is a strange odor:

Ensure unit is properly plugged into a power outlet.

Check that the Power Indicator Light is GREEN.

Ensure the tank is placed inside correctly

If Power On indicator light does not come on, contact

Crane Customer Care.

Adjust Control Knob to decrease mist output to low.

Leave room door slightly open during humidifier operation.

Ensure that the air intake cents of the heater are free and clear of dust and lint

Clean the Water Tank with the water and vinegar solution and rinse with clean water.

Leave the empty Water Tank open for some time (without the Water Tank Cap attached) in a cool place.

The steam indicator light is green, but there is no mist being emitted:

Check that there is water in the Water Tank.

Make sure that nothing is blocking the mist output nozzle or the tube that connects to the water tank.

Check that the Fan Vent on the back of the humidifier is not blocked.

Empty and rinse the Humidifier Base with cool tap water.

Check for possible mineral deposits and clean. (see pg. 7)

Check that the water level sensor moves freely. Clean with brush.
