System overview

Ideal for new and existing installations, LECTUS secure readers provide customers the assurance that their existing investments can be leveraged to enhance their system as business requirements change.

The technology-independent readers support standard iCLASS, MIFARE classic, and MIFARE DESFire EV1.

Available with four different form factors LECTUS secure readers meet nearly all installation requirements for indoor and outdoor use.

Installation/configuration notes

The maximum cable length for a Wiegand system is

150m.

In order to prevent problems by reading cards with contact-free card readers, follow the instructions when planning and installing contact-free readers.

Avoid installing contact-less card readers behind metallic (i.e. conductive) cases or on metallic surfaces.

The gaps to be left are given in the following list:

• Distance between reader and metal surfaces attached to the side: min. 30 mm

• Distance between reader and 230 V~ voltage cables and power packs: min. 500 mm

• Distance between reader and HF-cables: min. 500 mm
