The RDAC IV accepts both K-type and J-type thermocouples. K-type probes are typically used for EGT, while CHT probes can be either K-type or J-type. The probe type must be selected correctly in the Device Setup menu.

Calibration of the fuel flow sender is done by filling your tank to a known level, setting the fuel level on the Stratomaster E2, flying your aircraft for a specific period, and then refilling the tank to the initial level and adjusting the calibration factor according to the difference between the actual fuel used and the reported fuel usage.
