Navori QL Digital Signage Software Installation Manual

The Navori QL Digital Signage Software is designed for use on dedicated PC equipment. The QL software is made up of 3 components: The QL Engine which is the playback application, fully dedicated to content playback; QL Conductor - a watchdog service that monitors the health of the PC and manages the communications between Navori QL Server and the QL Engine; QL Guard - a service which the sole purpose is monitoring the QL Conductor service making sure it is always operational. The Navori QL Software can be installed on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server (2008 R2 or 2012) for server and player installations.

The system requirements for Navori QL Server depend on the number of players you plan to use. For a network of 10 players or less, the minimum requirements are: Windows 8 (Professional, Enterprise), Windows 7 (Professional, Ultimate), IIS Server, SQL Server (2005, 2008, 2012) on a dedicated server, NAS High Efficiency, RAM 4Gb, and SQL Express, For more than 10 players, please contact Navori and provide the required information.

You must configure your SQL account login so that it uses Mixed Mode (Windows and SQL Server authentication). You must create a new SQL-Based (SQL Server Authentication) user, make sure the password will not expire, the language is set to English, and the default database is master. You must also assign the following roles: dbcreator, public and sysadmin under Server Roles and db_accessadmin, db_owner and public under User Mapping.

After the installation is complete, you can log in using the default administrator account, change the default Administrator password, and log in using the extranet account.

What are the default login credentials?

The default login for the Root Level Administrator account is: User Name: Administrator; Password: VD293330. These credentials are case-sensitive. It is strongly recommended to change the default administrator password as soon as possible for security reasons.
