How to fix a paper cutter blade that won't go down after being moved?

The blade may require eccentric adjustment. Turn off the power. Lower the blade using both cut buttons, keeping one pressed while turning off the power. Adjust the three eccentrics to lower the blade until it cuts the full paper length, ensuring it remains parallel to the cutting stick. If needed, adjust the knife depth adjustment screw (ensure the knife is in the upper position). For model 4850, tighten the knife screw. Turn the power on. The knife should return to the upper position; tighten the screws firmly. Test with a stack of paper. Finally, lower the blade again, keeping a button pressed while turning off the power. Adjust the eccentrics to position 0 using the wrench from the tool set.

What should be done if the blade does not go down after moving the machine?

After moving the IDEAL paper cutter, the blade might not go down due to the eccentrics needing adjustment. To fix this:

  1. Turn main switch to position 0 (off).
  2. Lower the knife by pressing both cut buttons. Keep one button pressed and turn off the main switch (5).
  3. Use the 3 eccentrics (1) to lower the blade until the paper is cut along the entire length of the knife. (The knife must remain parallel to the cutting stick).
  4. If needed, lower the knife using the knife depth adjustment screw (9). (Knife must be in the upper position).
  5. For model 4850, tighten the knife screw (6).
  6. Turn main switch (5) to position I (on). The knife will return to the upper position and the knife screws should be tightened firmly.
  7. Cut a stack of paper.
  8. Lower the knife by pressing both cut buttons. Keep one button pressed and turn off the main switch (5).
  9. The eccentrics (1) are now exposed and should be turned to position 0 (using the special wrench found in the tool set).
