To start a cold engine: Lay the trimmer on a level surface. Check that the engine switch is on the “RUN” position. Press the primer bulb 10 times slowly. Set the choke lever to the “START” position. Squeeze the throttle trigger. Pull the starter rope with a quick firm and consistent upward motion until the engine starts and runs. To start a warm engine: With the engine switch on the “RUN” position, pull the starter rope with a quick firm and consistent upward motion until the engine starts.

Clean all foreign material from the product. Store the idle unit indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area, inaccessible to children. Keep away from corrosive agents such as garden chemicals. Clean the air filter monthly and replace it at least once a year. Replace the spark plug annually.
