Frequently asked questions

A 2x6 stud wall is recommended, or a minimum 2x4 stud wall if it has a direct ceiling connection.

Two (2) INVISABOLT supports are required for wall to wall mounting up to 63 inches.

A minimum 4x6 structural wood blocking must be installed flush to the front face of the studs prior to tile substrate placement. It should be secured with (4) 16d nails at each end and extend to the next wall stud beyond the bench width.

The combined depth through the substrate into the preinstalled blocking should be 4 inches.

Mortar should be allowed to cure for at least 48 hours prior to continuing with tightening the INVISABOLTs.

The new version of the BB-ADJR has four large holes in the back of the unit which serve as INVISABOLT mounting points, whereas the old version has no such holes.
