Standardised safety instructions for electrical products
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old.
Always ensure the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the voltage in your home.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician or a service repair centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team.
The appliance is intended for domestic use only. Industrial or commercial use will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its intended use.
Incorrect operation and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user.
Do not use the appliance if it
has been dropped or damaged in any way. If the unit has been damaged take the unit for examination and or repair by an authorised service agent.
Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in water or any other liquid for any reason.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by someone who is suitably qualified to avoid a potential hazard.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the cord is not in a position where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near hot gas, electric burners or in a heated oven.
Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However if it is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is equal to or greater than the power consumption of the appliance to avoid overheating of the appliance and extension cord.
Do not use any other appliance on the extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a position where it can be pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over.
Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not place the unit on a hot surface.
Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the appliances cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket.
Never handle or operate the
appliance with wet hands.
Under no circumstances is this product to be hard wired into an electrical ring main.
Appliance specific safety instructions
When carrying the unit ensure that you hold the motor housing with both hands, do not carry the unit by holding only the hopper plate or the head.
Do not fix the cutting blade and cutting plate when using the kibbe attachment.
Never feed food into the appliance by hand, always use the food pusher.
Do not grind hard food such as bones, nuts etc.
Do not grind ginger and other materials with hard fibres.
Do not use the metal grinder for more than 10 minutes without allowing the appliance to cool for a 10 minute period.
The reverse function is prohibited while the appliance is operating. For example do not put the switch to “On” and also the
“R”, wait at least one minute until the grinder has come to a complete stop, otherwise it may cause abnormal noise levels, vibration or a transitory electric spark in the appliance ultimately causing damage to the user and the appliance.
After using the grinder there may be a little food left in the grinder head. This is normal and is not a cause for concern or complaint.
Do not force the unit with excessive pressure as this may cause the unit to jam.
When the circuit breaker activates do not switch the appliance on.
Before first time use
Check that the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
Wash all parts (except body in warm water).
Before plugging in the appliance, ensure the appliance is switched off.

Assembling the meat grinder
1. To attach the head to the meat grinder, place it over the inlet at a 45 degree angle and rotate the head anti
-clockwise until you hear a click.
2. Place the feed screw into the head and push until you feel resistance.
3. Place the cutting blade onto the screw, make sure the blades face out.
4. Place the cutting plate over the cutting blade. Make sure to line up the protrusions on the plate with the slots in the head.
5. Screw the fixing ring tightly over the head and place the hopper plate on the head and fix it into position.
Mincing meat
Cut all food into small pieces (skinless, boneless and fat free meat is recommended, approximate size: 20 mm x 20 mm x 60 mm) so that they fit easily into the hopper opening.
To begin mincing meat press the
"ON" button.
Feed foods into the hopper plate by using the food pusher only.
After all the meat has been processed, press the OFF button to stop the appliance, then remove the plug from the mains.
It is recommend that you only use
250g of meat per time.
Please be aware the maximum time you can use this appliance continuously for is 10 minutes. After that, leave the machine to rest for 10 minutes.
Reverse function
If the appliance jams, switch off the appliance by pushing the ON/OFF button. Next, push in the REVERSE button.
The feed screw will be rotating in the opposite direction and the head will become empty.
If it doesn't work switch off the unit and clean it.
Making sausages
Before starting please assemble sausage attachment.
1. Hold the head (9) and insert it into the inlet, turn it clockwise so that the head is secured tightly.
2. Place the feed screw (10), the cutting blade (15) and the desired cutting plate (11-13) into the head (8) as shown in the sequence.
3. Place the sausage attachment (7) next to the cutting blade (15), then screw
the fixing ring (14) tight and place the hopper plate (1) on the head and fix it into position.

You should stop the machine when the sausage skin is filled with meat, and let out air with the needle. Tie the sausage skin, they are now ready to cook.
Method
1. Mince the meat three times and mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
Making Kibbeh
2. Once you have ground the meat and mixed it with all the other ingredients, grind the mixture three times.
Mutton 100g

3. Remove the cutting blade and cutting plate from the head an assemble the kibbeh attachment.

4. Push the ground mixture through the machine and form the shell of the kibbeh.

5. Insert the stuffing into the shell, tamp shut at both ends and deep fry until golden brown.
1. Mince the meat twice.
2. Brown the onion in a frying pan and add the minced mutton, all spice, salt and flour.

Method
1. Mince the pork until the desired consistency is reached.
2. In a bowl, add the dry ingredients to the minced pork. Mix with hands until the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
3. Soak the skins in water for 10 minutes, then feed them onto the sausage attachment.
4. Follow the steps found on page six.
Method
1. Mince the pork, bacon and garlic together on the coarse grinding plate, twice.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pork, bacon and garlic with the salt, pepper and sage - mix all the ingredients together using your hands.
3. Gently form the meat into four balls, and using the Andrew James Quarter
Pound Burger Press, make four patties.
Make a 5cm indentation using your thumb in the burger patties, this is to prevent the burger from bulging when grilled.
4. Fry the burgers to yours taste.
Cleaning
Remove parts from the main body and remove any meat. Wash each part in warm, soapy water.
Do not use bleaching solution as this will discolour the aluminium. Never use a soda solution.
Wipe the main body with a damp cloth, do not immerse in water.
Thinners and petrol will crack or change the colour of the unit.
Wipe all of the cutting parts with vegetable oil to protect them from rusting, then wrap them in greaseproof paper to prevent discolouring/rusting.
Do not place any parts in the dishwasher.

Your receipt or order number is required as proof of purchase date so it is imperative that you keep it safe. Please note this product is only for domestic use only and is not for commercial use.
Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and presented with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery condition as possible.
If your product develops a problem within the first 12 months of the fixed warranty, we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. After 12 months the customer will be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then pay to have the repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.

Customers are responsible for any taxes applied to our products when they are shipped outside of the EU. All of our prices are inclusive of VAT.
Once a product has been returned to us, we will aim to repair or replace it within

The guarantee does not cover any defect arising from improper use, damage, build
-up of lime scale or repair attempts made
by third-parties. Also, the guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear of individual parts.

Non-household waste. This product must not be disposed of together with ordinary household waste.
Separate collection of used products, batteries and packaging allows the recovery and recycling of materials. Reuse of materials helps prevent environ mental pollution and reduces the demand for raw materials.
Local authorities, retailers and collection organisations may provide for separate collection of electrical products, batteries and packaging.
Class 2 Double Insulated Products

Always ensure the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the power supply where the product is being used.
Class II double insulation. This tool is double insulated therefore no earth connection is required.
Precautions should be followed for safe cable management and connection to the power supply
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted follow the fitting instructions supplied with good quality BS1363A plugs. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician or appliance repair agent.
Safely dispose of the old plug.
Connect the brown lead to the live terminal “L” in the new plug.
Connect the blue lead to the neutral “N” terminal.
Warning! For double insulated product no connection is made to the Earth terminal.
Recommended fuse: 13 A.
If an extension cable is required, a 2 core or 3 core (earthed) extension can be used. To avoid overheating the extension cable should be rated no less than 13A and be fully unwound before use.
Do not attempt to modify electrical plugs or sockets or attempt to make an alternative connection to the electrical supply.
