INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE
This appliance should only be used for domestic cleaning, as
described in this user guide. Please ensure that this guide is
fully understood before operating the appliance.
Do not run over the power cord when using your appliance or
remove the plug by pulling on the power cord.
Do not continue to use your appliance if it appears faulty.
Do not leave the appliance plugged in. Always switch off and
remove the plug from the socket after use, or before cleaning
the appliance or any maintenance task.
Hoover service: To ensure the continued safe and efficient
operation of this appliance we recommend that any servicing
or repairs are only carried out by an authorised Hoover service
engineer.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
Do not stand on or wrap the cord around arms or legs when
using your appliance.
Do not use the appliance to clean animals or people.
Do not position the appliance above you when cleaning the
stairs.
If the power cord is damaged stop using the appliance
immediately. To avoid a safety hazard, an authorised
Hoover service engineer must replace the power cord.
The Environment
The symbol on this appliance indicates that this appliance may not be treated
as household waste. Instead it must be handed over to the applicable collection
point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Disposal must be
carried out in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal.
For more detailed information about treatment, recovery and recycling of this
appliance, please contact your local city office, your household and waste disposal service
or the shop where you purchased the appliance.

5. Fixed Power control - The cleaner will operate at a fixed power setting.
6. Variable Power control - Rotate the On/Off button to increase or decrease the
suction level. Use low suction for delicate fabrics. [9]
7. Switch off at the end of use by pressing the On/Off button. Unplug and press the cord
rewind pedal to wind the power cord back into the cleaner. [10]
8. Parking and Storage - The tube can be parked for temporary storage while in use, or
in the storage position when not in use [11].

CLEANER MAINTENANCE
Reverter System - how to change from the bag to Dust Manager Cyclonic
Cassette mode.
Depending on your preference. You may wish to use this cleaner with the Hoover exclusive
Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette instead of the bag.
1. Switch the cleaner off and remove the plug from the electricity supply.
2. Open the top cover and grip the bag holder. [12] Lift the bag holder vertically out of
the cleaner.
3. Place the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette into the cleaner by pushing downward
vertically with the handle toward the front of cleaner, ensure that the Dust Manager
Cyclonic Cassette is fully located. [13]
4. Close the top cover.
When full, please clean the bag immediately .

ASSEMBLING YOUR CLEANER
Remove all components from the packaging.
1. Connect the hose to the cleaner bag door, ensuring it clips and locks into position. To
release: simply press the two buttons on the hose end and pull. [2]
2. Connect the hose handle to the tube upper end. [3]
3. Connect the tube lower end to the nozzle. [4]
Emptying the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette
Check and empty the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette regularly, best after each use.
4. Extract the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette. [13]
5. Use the handle to carry the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to the dustbin. [16]
6. Pull the latch to remove the cover from the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette. [14]
7. Grip the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette firmly and tip the contents into the dustbin.
8. Shake the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette if required or use a brush to remove any
of the remaining dust or debris. [16]
9. Wash the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette if required. See chapter “Maintaining the
Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette filter”.
10. To close the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette locate the cover rear guides onto the
container then close firmly.
11. Return the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to its original position in the cleaner.
USING YOUR CLEANER

Extract power cord and plug it into the power supply. Do not pull the cord beyond the

Adjust the length of the telescopic tube by moving the telescopic release button up

Open cover, grip the bag holder and pull upward to remove.
Empty the dust bag and wash it. Once fully dry, insert again into the cleaner.
Only use Hoover genuine bags.

Maintaining the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette Filter
To maintain the best performance, we recommend that you wash the Dust Manager
Cyclonic Cassette filter every month or as soon as you notice a drop in performance.
1. Shake out the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to remove large dirt and debris
as described in “Empty the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette”.
2. Brush the inside of the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to remove the fine dust
that may have formed on the walls of the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette. [16]
3. Push the latches to remove the bottom filter grill. [17]
4. Tap filter against bin until fine dust is removed.
5. Rinse filter under lukewarm water and agitate inner pleats, ensuring both sides
are cleaned.

Remove excess water with a dry cloth and leave to air dry for 24 hours or until fully dry.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THE CLEANER WHEN FILTER ARE NOT COMPLETELY DRY.
After completing the washing and drying operations, locate the filter in its original position.
Return the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to its original position.
Switch the cleaner off unplug and correct the fault. The thermal cut out will normally reset in
about 30 minute and the cleaner will be ok to reuse providing you have corrected any fault.

All accessories can be fitted to the end of the hose handle or the end of the telescopic tube.
Crevice Tool – For corners and hard to reach areas. [22]
Furniture Nozzle – For soft furniture and fabrics. [23]
Parquet Nozzle* – For wooden floors and other delicate floors. [R]
Pet Hair Remover Mini Turbo Nozzle* - Use the mini turbo nozzle on stairs or for deep cleaning
on textile surfaces and other hard to clean areas. Particularly suitable for pet hairs removal. [S]
Allergen Remover Mini Turbo Nozzle* – Use the mini turbo nozzle on stairs or for deep
cleaning on textile surfaces and other hard to clean areas. Particularly suitable for allergen
removal. [T]
Maintaining pre-motor and exhaust filter

To maintain best performance we recommend that you wash the filters in the cleaner
at least every month.
8. To access the filters please refer to diagram [18a, 18b].
9. Rinse both filters under hand warm water. [19,20]
10. Do not scrub the filters, use washing up liquid or place in a dishwasher.
11. Remove excess water with a dry cloth and leave to air dry for 24 hours or until fully
dry. [21]
12. After completing the washing and drying operations, locate the filters in their original
positions in the cleaner.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the mini turbo nozzle on rugs with long fringes, animal hides and
carpet pile deeper than 15mm. Do not keep the nozzle stationary while the brush is
rotating.
USER CHECKLIST
Should you have a problem with the product, complete this simple user checklist before
calling your local Hoover service.
Removing a blockage from the system
If there is a noticeable drop in the performance see the following 2 points:
1. Check if the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette is full (If so refer to chapter “Emptying
the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette”).
2. If not full then:
a) Have you cleaned the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette filters recently?
If not please refer to the chapter “Maintaining the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette
filter”.
b) Check if there is any other blockage in the system.
• Use a rod or pole to remove any blockage from the tubes and flexible hose.
• It may also be possible to remove an obstruction in the flexible hose by lightly
squeezing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
WARNING - The cleaner is fitted with a bag check indicator this will illuminate red if the
cleaner is used when full, if there is a blockage. Or if the filters are dirty. When the bag
check indicator is illuminated and the cleaners is used for any significant period Of time
them a thermal cut out will activate and switch the cleaner off automatically to prevent any
overheating. Once the thermal cut out has actioned and the cleaner has switched Off the
bag check indicator lamp will turn Green to indicated This has occurred. If this happens then

Is there a working electricity supply to the cleaner? Please check with another electrical
appliance.
Is the dust bag over-filled? Please refer to ‘Cleaner Maintenance’.
Is the Filter blocked? Please refer to ‘Cleaning the filter’.
Is the hose or nozzle blocked? Please refer to ‘Removing a blockage from the system’.
Has the cleaner overheated? If so, it will take approximately 30 minutes to automatically reset.

Always replace parts with genuine Hoover spares. These are available from your local
Hoover dealer or direct from Hoover. When ordering parts always quote your model number.

‫قم بإخراج كافة األجزاء من عبوة التغليف‪.‬‬
‫‪ .1‬قم بتوصيل الخرطوم بباب كيس المكنسة‪ ،‬مع التأكد من أنه مثبت ومغلق بالوضع الصحيح‪ .‬لفك‬
‫بدال من كيس‬
‫وفقًا لرغبتك‪ ،‬قد ترغب في استخدام هذه المكنسة باستخدام الحاوية البالستيكيه للتحكم في الغبار ً‬
