Warnung! Unzureichende Leitungsverbindungen können zur Folge haben, dass durch Kurzschluß: nur isolierte Kabelschuhe, Stecker und
Flachsteckhülsen verwenden. Keine
Quetschverbinder (Leitungsverbinder) oder Lüsterklemmen verwenden.
Zum Verbinden der Kabel eine Quetschzange verwenden.
Bei Kabelanschlüssen an 31 (Masse):

MAGIC WATCH ist ein modernes Überwachungssystem auf Ultraschallbasis für
Kraftfahrzeuge. Es überwacht beim
Rückwärtsfahren den Raum hinter dem
Fahrzeug und warnt akustisch vor Hindernissen, die durch das Gerät erfaßt werden. MAGIC WATCH stellt eine Unterstützung beim Rückwärtsfahren dar und entbindet nicht von der besonderen
Vorsichtspflicht beim Rückwärtsfahren. MAGIC WATCH besteht aus 3 Ultraschall-Sensoren, einem Steuergerät und einem Piezo-Lautsprecher als akustischem Signalgeber. Es ist für den Einbau in Pkw´s und Kombifahrzeuge ausgelegt.
Die Montage des Piezo-Lautsprechers erfolgt im Bereich der Hutablage bzw.
Kofferraumabdeckung.
Technische Beschreibung
Das Funktionsprinzip von MAGIC WATCH basiert auf dem Ultraschall-Echo-Laufzeitverfahren. MAGIC WATCH verfügt über
3 Sensoren, die ein Ultraschallsignal abgeben. Die Sensoren arbeiten als
Sender und Empfänger, die die abgestrahlten und von Hindernissen reflektierten Ultraschallsignale wieder empfangen.
Die Entfernung zum Hindernis wird durch die Laufzeit der Ultraschallsignale berechnet und durch den Piezo-Lautsprecher
über eine Pulstonfolge signalisiert. Je näher Sie den Hindernis kommen, um so schneller wird die Tonfolge. Zur Erhöhung der Betriebssicherheit werden die Sensoren auf Funktion überprüft. ein defekter
Sensor wird angezeigt (siehe Seite 11).

Erfassungsbereich

Es können Situationen auftreten, in denen MAGIC WATCH Objekte nicht wahrnimmt oder aufgrund deren physikalischer Beschaffenheit nicht unbedingt den Abstand korrekt signalisiert.
Hierzu 4 Beispiele.
Beispiel 1
Objekte, die sich von vornherein nicht im
Erfassungsbereich der Sensoren befinden, können auch nicht wahrgenommen werden.
Beispiel 2
Bei zerklüfteten Objekten wird nicht unbedingt der kürzeste Abstand signalisiert. Z. B. wird A nicht signalisiert, sondern nur B oder C.
Beispiel 3:
Bei schrägen Hindernissen wird nicht der kürzeste Abstand A sondern der relative

Beachten Sie beim Verlegen der Kabel, dass diese:

Jeder Durchbruch an der Außenhaut der
Karosserie muss durch geeignete Maßnahmen gegen Wassereinbruch geschützt werden, z. B. durch Abspritzen des Kabels und der Durchführungstülle mit Dichtungsmasse.
Für die Verlegung der Sensorleitung von den Sensoren in den Kofferraum möglichst vorhandene Gummistopfen verwenden.
Sollten keine vorhanden sein, ist eine entsprechende Bohrung ca. Ø 13 mm anzufertigen und eine Kabeldurchführungstülle einzusetzen.
Hinweis!
Ziehen Sie die Kabelstecker der
Sensoren vorher durch die Kabeldurchführungstülle bevor Sie diese in die Karosserie einsetzen.

1. Die Kabellänge des Piezo-Lautsprechers. Beachten Sie, dass bei Fahrzeugen mit großer Heckklappe die Kofferraumabdeckung mit hochschwenkt.
2. Das der Piezo-Lautsprecher nicht durch

Der Rückfahrwarner MW-200-3 ist ausschließlich mit einer akustischen Signalgeber ausgestattet, daher ist es unbedingt erforderlich bei der Erstinbetriebnahme mit äußerster Vorsicht vorzugehen um sich mit den verschiedenen Tonfolgen vertraut zu machen.
Ab einer Entfernung von ca. 1,15 m (vom Sensor gemessen) werden auftretende Hindernisse erkannt und durch den Piezo-Lautsprecher (langsame Tonfolge) signalisiert.
Ab einer Entfernung von ca. 0,90 m (vom Sensor gemessen) springt die Anzeigeneinheit auf die nächste Tonfolge um.
Ab einer Entfernung von ca. 0,65 m (vom Sensor gemessen) springt die Anzeigeneinheit auf die nächste Tonfolge um. Dies ist der Bereich in dem das Fahrzeug abgestellt werden sollte.
Bei einer Entfernung von 40 cm (vom Sensor gemessen) und weniger springt MAGIC
WATCH in die schnelle Tonfolge. Wird dieser Bereich erreicht, sollte das Fahrzeug auf alle Fälle angehalten werden.
In diesem Bereich kann es passieren, dass Hindernisse nicht mehr erkannt werden da sie sich nicht mehr im Erfassungsbereich der Sensoren befinden (Bauartbedingt).

Sollte ein Sensor ausfallen ertönt beim Einlegen des Rückwärtsganges
(Zündung eingeschaltet) ein Warnsignal (siehe Abb. unten). Das Warnsignal unterscheidet sich von dem Signal für die Entfernungsanzeige in der Tonlänge. Es erfolgt nur einmal und zeigt an, welcher Sensor defekt ist. Durch erneutes Einlegen des Rückwärtsganges kann dieses Signal wiederholt werden. In diesem Fall haben Sie keine
Unterstützung durch den Rückfahrwarner beim Rückwärtsfahren. Tauschen Sie den defekten Sensor aus.

Empfindlichkeitseinstellung
Die Empfindlichkeit wird werksseitig eingestellt, sollte jedoch eine Nachregulierung der Einstellung nötig sein, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

Ordnung und angeschlossen sein. Bei der
Meldung Sensorfehler (sie Seite 11 unten) ist keine Empfindlichkeitseinstellung möglich.
Besorgen Sie einen runden Testkörper mit einem Durchmesser von ca. Ø 60 mm.
Stellen Sie diesen Testkörper in einer
Entfernung von ca. 1,0 m in einem Winkel von 90° hinter dem einzustellendem
Sensor(siehe Abb.). Der Testkörper soll sich auf gleicher Höhe wie der Sensor befinden.
Jedem Sensoreingang am Steuergerät ist auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite eine
Einstellschraube zugeordnet.
Drehen Sie die Einstellschraube des einzustellenden Sensors linksherum in
Richtung Minus (-) bis zum Anschlag.
Zündung einschalten (nicht den Motor starten) und den Rückwärtsgang einlegen.
Drehen Sie die Einstellschraube rechtsherum in Richtung Plus (+) bis die langsame Tonfolge (Zone 1) signalisiert wird.
Wiederholen Sie die Empfindlichkeitseinstellung mit den anderen Sensoren.
Die Empfindlichkeitseinstellung ist hiermit abgeschlossen.
