Figure 1 5.3) Using a #2 Phillips Head screwdriver and the screws provided with the cabinet, attach one mounting bracket to each side of the cabinet using the holes provided. Figure 2 illustrates the mounting scheme of 19” cabinets and figure 2a of 23” cabinets. An alternate mounting position (Figure 2b) is available for 19” cabinets. To have a cabinet that installs more rearward in racks use the 4-hole pattern closest to the front side of the cabinet. The forward top cover assembly screw must be removed prior to the installation of the mounting brackets. Once a mounting bracket is installed, the top cover assembly screw must be replaced. The mounting clips must be secured at the four target locations printed on the door (Figure 3 & 3a). The mounting clips are positioned such that when the cabinet door is closed, the clips will support the port identification card (Item 3). Further support of the identification card is provided by the use of the enclosed Hook/Loop dots. Mate each Hook with a Loop dot. With Label in place on cabinet front door, remove protective backing from Hook or Loop and attach to underside of identification label, as required. Remove backing from the remaining side. Swing label into place and press against clear plastic door to secure. Figure 3 Figure 3a Figure 4 Figure 4a 5.5) Attach the 2 bend limiters (Item 5) to the cabinet as shown in Figures 4 & 4a (provided in black, but shown in white for clarity). 5.6) The cabinet is ready to be mounted to the rack using the screws provided, and a #3 Phillips Head screwdriver. 6.0 INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES 6.1) Attach the required number of bend limiting clips (item 8) to the tray by inserting the square mounting tab on the underside of the clip through the square holes provided in the tray, then rotate the clip to lock into place. Position the clips such that the radius compliments your wire management scheme. The clips are designed to limit the bend radius of the fiber (Figure 5). 6.2) Figure 5a depicts the bend limiting clips secured to the tray (rear section), and splice trays positioned over the loops and secured with cable management straps (item 10). Repeat the pattern on the front section of the tray. 6.3) When required, attach the upper and/or lower strain relief brackets (items 11 & 12 respectively) to the rear of the cabinet as shown in Figure 6. Threaded studs are provided on the inside surface of the cabinet to accommodate the brackets. 6.4) Left and right cable managers are installed into the rectangular open ends at the front of the sliding tray.using the #6-32 screws provided (1) each. A fully inserted manager will have the small tab of the manager above the tray and its threaded feature visible thru the hole just in from the tray edge. Fasten with one screw into the manager’s threaded hole. Tighten, but do not overtighten. 6.5) Repeat steps 5.0 through 5.6 to assemble additional cabinets, and steps 6.0 through 6.4 for installation of accessories. INSTRUCTION SHEET # REV.
