Inputs connect to sources. Outputs connect to displays. RS232 protocol ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ Baud Rate 9600 bps Data bit: 8 bits Parity: None Stop Bit: 1 bit Telnet login ▪ ▪ User name: admin Password: 123 About ASCII commands (terminal commands) All commands must include Carrier Return/<CR> (0x0d) Commands Query firmware version - %VR Description Query the current version of the firmware. Command %VR Arguments None Example Command: %VR Response: 8x8H_FW_01_02 This response means the device's current firmware is for an 8x8 matrix version 1.02 Route a single output - %PI Description This command is for routing to a single output. Command %PoxIix Arguments Where Is ox The output port number. Must be two digits, 01, 02… ix The input port number. Must be two digits, 01, 02… Example To connect output 1 with input 3: Command: %P01I03<CR> Response: p01i03 To disconnect output 1 from all outputs (use a 0 for the input value Command: %P01I00<CR> Response: p01i00 MX-65xx series ASCII protocol user guide V2.0 1 Increase the source number of a single output - %P+ Description This command is for changing a single output to the next input; similar to a channel up command. Command %Pox+ Arguments Example Where Is ox The output port number. Must be two digits, 01, 02… To increase the source number for output 1, where the current source is input 2 Command: %P01+<CR> Response: p01i03 Decrease the source number of a single output - %PDescription This command is for changing a single output to the previous input; similar to a channel down command. Command %Pox- Arguments Example Where Is ox The output port number. Must be two digits, 01, 02… To decrease the source number for output 1, where the current source is input 3 Command: %P01-<CR> Response: p01i02 Map outputs - %MAP Description This command shows output mapping, also known as a routing table. Command %MAP none p01i03 p02i01 p03i02 p04i04 Arguments Response Read the EDID from an output - %EDRP Description This command reads the EDID from an HDMI output . Command %EDRPox Arguments Where Is ox The output port number. Must be two digits, 01, 02… To copy the EDID from output 1 to input 2 Command: %EDLP0102<CR> Response: OK Copy an EDID from the default table to a source - %EDLD Description This command copies an EDID from the default EDID table to an input.
