Follow the vent pipe manufacturer’s instructions for sealing the vent piping. The vent pipe connector must be sealed gas-tight to prevent the possibility of flue gas spillage and carbon monoxide emissions, which could result in severe personal injury or death.

Ensure Locking

Band is securely tightened over the flue hood collar

Apply a continuous 1/4" wide bead of high temperature sealant as specified by the vent manufacturer along the inside surface 1/4" below the upper edge
